Hello! New here to the community and I'm excited to be here. I've been reading up on this little world and some of the people involved and I have to say this is such an amazing roleplay opportunity. It reminds me of a mix between Exalted and D&D and some of my other RPGs online I play and I love that they are all combined for me to enjoy in one place..and with such an awesome storyline included!
I found Standing Trials on Facebook, there was an ad for it on my Home page and it just caught my attention. I think it was the hand holding the orb and the name 'Standing Trials'..which, in my head, meant politics and magic. Completely my wheelhouse. Checked out the link and well now I'm here and I can't wait to start writing with you guys. I've met just a few of you already and you've been absolutely amazing, helping a noob like me. Thank you!
● Have you roleplayed before? If so, where? If you have, how long have you been roleplaying for?
Yes, I have been and still do write on a couple of vampire based RPGs..Path of the Vampire and Vampires! A Dark Alleyway aka Ravenblack City. I've been playing RBC for 10 years now and Path off and on since it was created four years ago. I play D&D, Exalted, Pathfinder and you can usually find me hanging out at a tabletop gamestore where I live. Helps my boyfriend is the manager there lol.
● Do you have any nicknames you go by? Is there a name you prefer people to call you?
My name is Blair and usually people just get to know me and make up their own nicknames for me. I've...a lot. But none really stick because my name is already a one syllable word. Short and sweet and to the point. Sup?
● What are some of your most favorite characters you've made? They can be from MMORPGs, Video Games, etc.
I've made a LOT of characters over the years and many of them have gone by the wayside. Just stopped writing them out of boredom or lack of inspiration but I've got a short list of characters I've created that have lasted years with me and have traveled through a few different games with me.
Ikunnaprinsess - She'll be who I base Aieda off of in this community. I've stripped her of her canon in different games and I'm rebuilding her here. And the more I've read about one of the races, the more this world feels like who she is or should have been before I brought her to one of my other games and she was turned vampire. I played her for 10 years and she was my most developed and loved character. So I'm going to enjoy writing her here as basically this place being her backstory and developing a whole new world around her through this RPG.
Victor Sterling - He's my werewolf in RBC and Path. Giant burly male with a glorious beard. He's a lumberjack and a bartender that loves baking. Kind of an all around biker dude and former family man. He's got backstory for days. But I think if I brought him here, he would be either Sev'ryn or Yludih. And writing him in a wilderness setting without the modern amenities would be such a cool new outlook on him for me.
Corvine - She started out as a barbarian that could speak to and see through ravens and crows. Lives in colder areas of the world and is a solitary creature. Very viking-esque but prefers to be on the witch side of things. I've got a LOT of ideas of bringing her over and exploring the magic side more with her.
● Is there anything you're excited about when it comes to the Standing Trials RP? Anything that you're concerned with?
I'm so excited at learning all of the many aspects of this RP. I love the medals. I love the reviewing threads for character development and storyline movement. I love the races and the parts of the world. Ugh..this place! The only thing I had a problem with was navigating through all of the information to learn about this world. There was SO much to sift through that if it hadn't been for going to the chats and Rend helping me not lose my mind, I might have been a little disheartened. But..I think this is also part of my being used to a different forum format and just needing to adjust to this one.
● Do you consider yourself skilled in something (Art for example), if so, what is it? Do you have a favorite hobby besides RPing?
I don't really consider myself skilled in anything. I'm capable and enjoy photoshopping, writing and painting, but if I'm any good at it isn't really up to me. I just do my best and if people like what they get then yay! I'm really bad at telling jokes and my sarcasm has a tendency to sound catty and sometimes rude. I'm sorry if people get that from me..I really don't mean to offend or come off as a bitch or egotistical.
● What is something unique about you?
Nothing really. Oh right...I'm Batman.
Oh! Also, as I mentioned in chats last night, I do photoshop and love making banner/avatars (and sets) for people that request them. No strings attached.
