He could hear his destination before he laid an eye on its door. Music, laughter and voices floated through the air to him, along with the smells of fresh bread and whatever they had made for today's meal. Gray looked around, it wasn't his time to this part of the city, but it still set him on guard when he ventured here. Pulling his hood lower on his head, and double checking the shortswords on his waist to be sure they wouldn't stick if he needed them later, Vincent continued down the street and closer to the source of the din.
Coming to a stop in front of a door Gray let out a sigh. This place was always so loud and violent whenever he visited. Was almost more of a nuisance than what he'd come for was worth. As he grabbed the handle and turned, there came the sound of crashing glass and angry shouts from inside. As he opened the door, Gray stepped to the side of the doorway, and trills later a man was tossed unceremoniously into the mud beside him. Looking at the man in the mud before with uninterested eyes, Gray wrote him off as some drunkard who had gotten a bit carried away. There was always a couple, no matter the night. Turning his attention the the man that had helped the drunk on his way out of the door. The man filled most of the doorway, and had a scowl stuck to his face as though that was the only expression he had. Gray didn't recognize him as one of Rufus' usual workers. Must have been a new hire. The man looked gray up and down, before turning and walking back into the building.
Following the man in Gray shut the door behind him as he entered The Blacksmith Arms. The smell of fresh bread, cheap booze, and sweat filled the air. No one would ever mistake The Arms for being a fancy place, but it was always full of life. Something about that made Gray ease a bit, but nothing more than a softening of the eyes as he scanned the room for who he'd come to meet with. After a bit of scanning the room Gray eventually found him, sitting at the bar, watching the place as he sipped on a mug. Without hesitation Gray made his way to the bar, and took a seat next to the man he'd come to talk to, the taverns owner Rufus.
