Howdy Don't let the title fool you, I'm not into boats, I'm just into fancy ways of saying hello.
Well, where do I start, since my username is kinda ..meh.. you can just call me Nick. I have some experience with RPing, roughly 4 years, with some pauses of a month or two. I'm so used to RPing on fanfiction based sites that completely new lore kinda attracted me a lot. I mostly RP GoT, Harry Potter and LotR (I'm so diverse, I know )
I really enjoy the lore (of this site), as well as the game-ish kinda aspect of RPing, and even though I'm kinda told I'm good at writing, i find usual storytelling rather dull; It's way more fun to have to keep track of skills and regulations, violations, money and real players that write by your kinda-virtual side, as well as all the other complicated stuff. I really like sites that are quite complicated, and I must say that's what I really found interesting on this site, just the pure complexity of everything
Well, that should be it, also, you'll be seeing a lot of me on the Creating the World and the Questions forums, I'm just overwhelmed by all of the stuff that's on this site.
HA! You thought that was it, I actually gotta say that I spent about 6 hours just reading through all the general lore, no specific cities or races, without even thinking about my character, and it took me another fine 6 hours to get the bare bones of my character, and I really enjoyed all of that time.
Wow, this guy just won't finish huh? I don't really care about the quality of the writing on a site I wanna join, so long as it's at least above average, and I mostly care about the fun times and just plotting, but as far as I have seen (and believe me, I've seen a lot of this site), them both things are really good here
Well, i think that would be it, NOPE, just one more quick thing, I'm actually quite competent with CSS, so if you see me not using any template or using the default one, don't ya worry if I need help with it, it's just my laziness that is stopping me from actually creating my template

Yay Yludih!! Hi Nick, indeed there is a lot of content and we are only warming up ha! Although I noticed you used both terms 'complicated' and 'complex' - I wish to argue the terms are different. Our aims are directed more to that of 'complex' in that the concepts have depth, detail and meaning, as opposed to complicated which is difficult to understand, convoluted, confusing and is thus superficial. If you notice in your reading that things are confusing and could be better streamlined or linked, feel free to let us know so we can keep improving things as we go !
Enjoy the site and do have fun here!!

Welcome,
I must say I like hearing that you read a bunch of lore before conceiving your PC idea.
I think that is the better way to go, rather than starting out with a set concept that the lore may not quite accommodate.
Feel free to explore what's here and ask questions. We all want a satisfying character; both for you to enjoy playing, and for us to enjoy destro-...er.....interacting with.

Thank y'all I really feel welcome and not afraid for my characters at all....
I know, I meant complicated as in 'you can't understand something by just reading the general stuff about it, there is a lot more things to be considered, like with clothing for example, you can't just read that the price of X is Ygn, you also have to consider fabric and dye and quality.' Complicated in a good way, to put it like thatOur aims are directed more to that of 'complex' in that the concepts have depth, detail and meaning, as opposed to complicated which is difficult to understand, convoluted, confusing and is thus superficial.

Welcome!!
I just read all the messages and was about to say there is good writing and really friendly folk - and then I noticed D'artagnan! YES! Excellent choice for a face claim. I'm currently very much in love the musketeers (part way through season 2) Aahhh...Aramis....
But anyway, welcome welcome! Hope you have a lovely time and enjoy it here.
Kind regards,
Pixie
