Brightest day
darkest night
I can feel a hidden light
As above
So below
As you ask so you shall know
Silver laughter
Golden tears
Strike away your darkest fears
Circles within circles
Snakes with blood red tongues
From alchemy life ever lasting can be wrung
Pure becomes impure
becomes the pure again
So heed the words of this song
Find the hidden meaning
It won't be long
It won't be long
Moon and sun
Lead and gold
Find the answer between body and soul
As above
So below
As you ask so you shall know
Sulfur soul
Mercury mind
The body is salt and so you shall find
It won't be long
It won't be long

Songs for Dula to learn on the Panflute:
As she will be learning about Irish shanties these will be just in tune, not voice. But the tune nonetheless. I love a good shanty to get people's feet kicking.
Idea for treasure: tin whistle that when played makes people speak in limericks for 35 bits afterwards

Details: This is a group of adventurer's known for being able to obtain items, monsters, and other things that may be hard to capture. Danger is their middle name and they live by a code of honor among brethren. A band of misfits, they make their name by going places others wouldn't or possibly shouldn't. For all intents and purposes The Delvers are a group of hardened survivalist and adventurers who take on those who have even a spit's worth of courage into their ranks. The best of the best, these people can get things done and know their way around more than a few dark or frightening holes. The brether's don't have to always stick together but should meet up at least twice an arc to exchange stories and reconnect as the family of the thing is a big part for The Delvers.
There are many reasons someone may want to join The Delvers. To make a name for themselves, for protection, for strong familial ties, for the sheer sense of adventure and so much more. The quests and adventure are endless, it's up to you to decide whether or not you join this band of adventurers.
The backstory is simple, a need and want for Dula to meet and combine forces with others who share a passion for the strange and odd. Through her life she had been relatively sheltered, despite living is as magical a place as Desnind, and so with her first personal taste of the truly bizarre, dangerous, and magnificent she decided to hobble together a name for people with honor who wanted something similar as she. A family, something of a brotherhood, and something to call home away from home. As well as a name for the all to call themselves, The Delvers or brethers, marking them part of a group who hold the fire in the veins within high esteem.
Headquarters: Desnind, Ivyside Hideout
Code of Honor: Never steal from a brether
Never kill a brether
Always have your brether's back
When fighting monsters, take care lest ya become a monster
The darker the hole, the bigger the loot
Once a brether always a brether
Pass the stick and let them speak
How to Join: Joining is simple, it involves an IC talk among the existing brethers until a decision is made. You will be submitted to the hazing and then joining is as simple as that! The hazing is a light thing, no humiliation or pain involved.
Your character must have at least novice in either a combat or healing skill as well as one support skill such as, running, endurance, strength, cooking, field craft, lock picking, cryptography, or stealth at least at novice. Use the boxcode at the bottom and post here to set up a date to meet and join The Delvers.
The Fee: 2 WP a season from each member is all that's needed to keep the faction up and running, as many of the faction members may be anywhere in Idalos at anytime. Ivyside Hideout is more of a meeting place than a bunk house, though it is kept clean by the members who come back, one of the duties being delegated to sweep the cobwebs and keep the place nice when someone comes to visit. The WP also goes towards food and other amenities that the Delvers may need during their stay at Ivyside Hideout being provided there within the bunkhouse itself. The fee also goes towards a fur lined hood with a stylized "D" on the neck (average quality) as well as a set of average throwing daggers, a basic+ dagger, and a pair of winterized boots (basic+ quality).
How to Hire: While this isn't a job so much as a band of misfits with a mission some people may find fit to hire these people. It's as simple as having a clear purpose and direction of what you need from them, allowing The Delvers to take the left over spoils of whatever they may find on their quest for you. It's a written contract, saying this is what you're asking for with your name signed in ink below the terms. No nels/WP are needed.
Excommunication from The Delvers: Breaking one of the codes is enough to get someone excommunicated, particularly committing crimes against your brethers. Other things may come into play here but it is decidedly hard to be thrown out of this group-- even if you want to be! (By name only)
Renown: (Will be updated as we begin to get more members)

The main things I must work on for Dula in the Rebirth Cycle is the Delvers, getting Cassion's mark, and have fun playing in Scalvoris.
The Delvers is going to be tricky as this is new territory for me, I am learning how to play with other people more and more. This is a very unique thing for me as a writer. My biggest thing will be while leading the pack making sure I give to them just as much; as in allowing them to have their say and leeway with what we do, what happens in the game play, where we are taking the faction, and just pandering to them as much as possible. The other players are the heart and soul of the group, without them it doesn't exist. I am thinking maybe two big things we get into in Scalv and leave it at that.
Cassion's mark is going to be a modded thing so I want to get that up as quickly as possible. I think it's time for Dula to step it up a notch now that I understand alchemy even more and make sure that she really relies on that as her heavy weaponry. The staff is meant to be mostly non-lethal but this is time for her to learn where, how hard, and when to hit. This is important because this is crucial to the adventure, being able to defend herself. Something else to keep in mind are puzzles, tight spaces, near misses, traps, riddles, bones, and all the intrigue and goodness that makes a real delve an adventure.
Scalvoris I need to do research on, I am once again stepping into an area through Dula's sheltered eyes and she is shaky but ready. By the Hot Cycle my baby is going to be a woman. No more pussy footing around and being a scaredy-cat. It's time to get our hands dirty and shake out those nerves for good. I am going to take the time now to chose her final skill set, what it will look like, and possibly add those 0/250 skills to her CS now.
