Nir'wei snorted in amusement, but there simply wasn't time for a snappy comeback. They had a plan to enact, and so they did. Arrows dotted the ground around the beasts, striking into the most populated clusters and sending them scattering with either jolts of electric current or outright explosions of force and metal. Herded like cattle and huddling close to look for an exit strategy, the Thundermaws looked to the head of their pack for guidance, only to find them forced into a hard retreat as well with concentrated fire striking the ground before him in continuous waves, slowly inching forward. They had no option but to retreat right back the way they'd come to seek shelter and regroup - pulling away before their barrages, until a couple of solid shots landing square in the small of the leader's back prompted a full-on retreat, with the others following suit. Their half-eaten meals left abandoned.
Then, it kept going. Shoving them back across the countryside, shooting warning shots whenever one would try to break away to grab a new meal, or the leader would slow down thinking of turning around and heading back, until a distant screech announced the arrival of a nearby Justiciar patrol. He'd barely pulled back and called for Faith to do the same before they dived in from above, a small cadre of five, all mounted on Storm Rocs and carrying those traditional long-handled halberds to strike at the creatures in passing bombing runs. Without a single word passed between them, it was clear from the way they swooped around their newfound prey that the Justiciars were taking over. He turned Traveller away in a low arc and circled back towards Faith.
"I think we're done. Thank you for help, I... well, I think things could have ended a lot differently, without your assistance." He chuckled a little sheepishly at the thought. "But then again, it shouldn't have come to it if I hadn't been partnered with... oh Karem above, where did those idiots even go? I saw one flying off into the air and the other... I'm sorry, I need to go and find her. Before she ends up causing even more trouble." It could most certainly happen. Some people got far, far too invested when something didn't go their way, and the last thing any of them needed after such a close shave worthy of achievement, was it to all be tarnished by an innocent bystander running headfirst into the pack they'd just chased off for 'revenge' or something petty.
"I'll meet you for the debrief with the Justiciar Stalwart!" he yelled moments before ducking into a barrel-roll of a dive, swooping down back towards Rharne city close enough to almost clip the trees. "And you're telling me where you got those modified bolts!"
