Appearance

Cail is a beautiful tanned young female Biqaj. With piercing brown eyes and long straight brown hair, she is tanned just like the rest of her race. She stands at five feet eight inches and weighs one hundred sixty five pounds. Though not huge, the girl has enough muscle on her to show the working a ship has been a large part of her life.

Personality

Cail is a very happy and easy going young Biqaj. Known for her bright smile, there is not many times that the girl isn't bouncing around on her sloop doing something. The young lady is a spit fire when someone makes her angry. She loves everything about being out at sea, the freedom it brings with the wind blowing through her hair to the animals that swim along side her vessel. The only thing that really tends to bother her is when a passenger or crew member decides to get an attitude with her. That normally ends with the person thrown over board and left behind to swim to their destination.

History

Cail was raised like a typical Biqaj with a love for the sea. She spent most of her young life learning how to navigate the stars and how to tie off the ropes so they wouldn't come lose. The young child was taught her peoples language and how to speak common; so that she could talk with the people the family traded with. As she got older her family began trying to teach her how to barter and negotiate with merchants. When it came time for her to start weapon training, the first thing she went for was the beautiful scimitar. Though she was late getting her blade due to them being out at sea for so long; the girl is not where she needs to be in her training.

Current history:
Cail saved a little girl from dying in the water and decided to take her in until further notice. Her name is Paige.

Four Pointed Star (Minor)

Activation of this skill will cause a silvery aurora to rise from the user upward to the sky. This will highlight certain stars in the sky that appoint the directions of a compass. This will only work at night time.

Wave Crash (Minor)

This ability allows the user to summon a 15' (4.6m) wave in one direction and can choose the time the wave crashes. The user must rest for a few trials afterward before attempting to use the ability again. At Adored, this ability can create a wave as high as 25' (7.7m) and at Exalted, 100' (30m)

Seafarer Skills I

The character is granted an extra three skill points which may be spent only on the following skills: Navigation, Seafaring, Swimming or Woodcraft. Any skill points granted by this Mark can break the 250 (or 100 if fast track) point cap on skills. Within these skills, the points may be spent how the pc chooses.

Sliding Current (minor)

The ability allows the user to manipulate a small area of water to move at running pace, the size of a large ship. This ability is particularly useful in calm winds. The ability will work for a full trial. The ability can also be cast on bodies of water of other ships, given they are within 400' (121m), to speed them up, slow them down and if there is little wind, send them backward. This is especially useful during pursuits. This can be used once a trial.

Healing Aura (minor)

The user who uses this ability will find a blue aurora streaming out from their body to encompass, either an individual in need of healing. The aurora will surround the individual and slowly heal minor wounds. The same ability can be used to repair small holes in the ships hull. This can be taxing on the user, making them feel drowsy after use.

Desalination

The user can convert a half-barrel of salt water into fresh water. It involves first collecting the salt water and placing one's hands into the water. A white 'Aurora' flashes through the water and then outwards, carrying with it long tendrils of fine salt caked together and let drop elsewhere in large chunks. This can be done once a trial. At Adored, this is increased to six barrels and at Exalted, to twelve.

Xypha

Telepathic Communication (Minor)

As the Immortal of Communication, Yvithia is synonymous with spoken and written language. But those who truly wish to follow the Immortal find themselves with the ability to communicate with others with nothing more than their minds. With this ability, the Favored Xypha can send communications willingly with those within their range of vision, so long as the person's eyes can be seen. This ability can be used indefinitely as long as the two parties remain within visual range of each other. However, at this level, the Xypha cannot receive the thoughts back, only send his or her own.

Intuitive Linguist

With this ability, the Xypha can choose any one EASY language and rank up to Fluent for free. This language may be denoted with an [XY] in the list, and may exceed the language cap imposed by the character's Linguistics skill.

The Intellectuals' Skills I

Identify

By observing or hearing a gestured or verbal language, the Favored Xypha instinctively knows the name of the language and the region where it is most commonly used. Additionally, this allows the Xypha to know the place from which the speaker hails as well. Often used for determining intent, this ability does not allow the Xypha to understand the language, if they do not already know it.

Perfect Copy

Communication and Language are important domains to Yvithia, and with this ability the Favored Xypha can accurately copy any document he or she has ever read, whether they remember the exact details or not. This also transcends language barriers, so that they may write what the document said, even if they have no real knowledge of the language. They cannot understand what they've written, but instead regurgitate the information verbatim.

Emotional Palette

By using this ability, the Xypha takes on metaphorical coloured lenses. As they look over others in their immediate vicinity, the person takes on a shade of colour depending on their strongest emotion. For happiness, this is a yellow nimbus around them, anger is red vein-like streaks on their skin. Sadness is blue swirling clouds over their skin, envy is green ivy-like vines twirling the person's extremities. Those with this ability and Empathy are able to more easily identify the emotion, and often leads to easier manipulation of the emotions through Empathy.

Clothing

• 1 x Set of clothing
• A metallic bracelet with a lightning symbol on it, given to you by Ilaren for being such a good sport about being put in harm's way. While worn, it confers to Praetorum the following two Adored level abilities from Ilaren's Palemon mark:
  -Tolerance. This is a passive that will always be in effect as long as the bracelet is worn.
  - Lightning Manipulation (Moderate). - Can be activated up to three times a trial.
• Autopsy Glasses Moseke gives Cail a pair of glasses that help her perform medical autopsies, specifically they highlight things that are out of place on or in a dead body. Cail still has to interpret what she sees, but these will help her get started.
• Ruin's Favor A few days after the events of Ruin's Dawn, you find a necklace sitting on your desk, with a note that says "Thanks again for the idea." The necklace will make impossible for someone to paralyze Cail in the future, thereby preventing even Valtharn from taking her out like that again.
• Ascension's Fall: Raskalarn gives you a ring made out of a broken piece of the Ascension, given just enough juice by the Immortal of Conquest to have a limited effect. The ring drains Immortal Ether, making it more difficult for them to use their Domains, though it doesn't affect physical ability, knowledge, or skill.
  

Figures

• Copperhead: A small copper figurine in the shape of a dragonling. Four times a cycle, the character can command the figurine to reshape itself into a weapon head. When activated thus, the figurine will transform into molten copper, which will flow and coat itself over any weapon head of the character's choice. The enchantment will last for one break before the item will revert to figurine form. It cannot be activated more than once on any given trial. The weapon thus coated will be quality tier 8 for the duration of the enchantment, regardless of how high or low is its quality normally.
  Useful for fighting ghosts
• Wolf's Howl: Karem gives you a wolf shaped whistle that, when blown, lets out an ethereal wolf call. This whistle can be blown once per cycle, and only when the user truly needs help. However, when they blow it, the help they need will come.
• A small toad figurine made of garishly-colored soapstone. It can be placed at a perimeter or point where it acts as an alarm. When there is movement within a 40ft radius of it, Cail will hear an alarm. The alarm can only be heard by Cail and up to four other people she designates. She can remove access to hearing the alarm at any time, but can only give access twice a cycle.
