38th Saun, 718

It had been a long, and tiring journey, but they had finally reached the city. Andaris was as crowded as it always was when Lei'lira and the others arrived. Her neighbors were a lot more skilled than she was in driving livestock, so when they offered to bring the animals to the docks and get them onto the ship that Lei'lira and her family would be taking, Lei'lira jumped at the offer. Her relief that she and Teia wouldn't have to make the attempt themselves was plain as she thanked them sincerely.

That left Lei'lira and her family to make their own way to the docks. As they walked through the crowd, Lei'lira found herself tensing up. They had only been in Andaris for a few trills, and already the noise and crowds were getting to her. It felt as though she was being watched, and that left her feeling an intense need to hide. But when she looked around, she was that she was indeed being watched...and that the eyes that were watching her were both friendly, and concerned. Teia and Eri had taken up positions on either side in an attempt to create a little bubble of safety for her. And as they walked, they both kept an eye on her, watching for the warning signs that meant she was getting close to panicking. Likewise, Atreyu, Lil'ari, Ei'ryl, and Ei'ryn were keeping a worried eye on her as well. For their part, Kei'iru, Sai'ryl, and Tae'ryn were watching Teirue, Tiran, and Taerin. Lei'lira smiled at them faintly.

"I'll be okay. We just have to make it through Low Town, and to the docks."

If Lei'lira's voice was more than a little shaky with nerves, no one offered any comment on in. They made it through the gate into Low Town without any incident, but as they made their way to the docks, they had to pass by a slave auction that was in session. Lei'lira was so intent on getting to their boat without panicking that she barely even noticed the auction until Kei'iru's startled cry of alarm and dismay caught her attention.

"Evan!"
