Appearance

Standing a mere 5'4" and having a rather slim build, Kyrae as a rather unintimidating appearance. Add in the glasses that she has to wear to correct her heavy near-sightedness, and one could easily mistake Kyrae for an unassuming scholar. However, her initially fragile appearance hides the wiry muscle of her body, honed from a lifetime of practice and training. Her light red hair and dark blue eyes mark her as an Aukari, and the symbol branded on her wrist, though with light claw scars over it, mark her as having been trained by their dark occult. Due to her weapon of choice, Kyrae adjust her glasses by pushing them up her nose with her thumb. This keeps her from scratching her own face with the claws she uses as weapons.

Personality

Kyrae is, to put it bluntly, not at all right in the head. Though she seems, on the surface, to be calm and reasonable, she desires disorder and chaos above all else. Though rational enough not to resort to murder and anarchy, Kyrae chose the life of a mercenary for the opportunity it presents her, as a soldier for hire can do anything in the name of coin without too much scrutiny. This mindset leads to an absolute love of battle, the one and only time Kyrae feels truly alive, the visceral thrill of combat bringing out of a sense of excitement bordering on manic insanity.

History

Sirothelle Is Heaven.

This belief is drilled into the minds of young Aukari from the moment they're born and Kyrae was no different. She believed with every fiber of her being that Sirothelle was heaven, a perfect haven for not only Aukari, but other races, should they submit to Faldrun. And yet, even from a young age, this knowledge didn't leave her reassured and content, like many of her fellows. Instead, it left her unsettled and restless, and she found herself longing more and more for something to happen, though it wasn't until she joined the occult and began combat training that she figured out what, exactly, she wanted.

Sirothelle Was Heaven. And Kyrae wanted nothing more than to watch Heaven burn.

The notion of Heaven, of perfection, was something Kyrae found repulsive and wrong, especially for an Aukari. A race whose very being attempted to destroy them surely hadn't been meant for perfection, for creation, or for order. Kyrae's very nature, the Fire Within that made her what she was, called for destruction, for chaos, and for anarchy. This urge was only heightened by combat training, as visceral spray blood, the heady feeling of flesh being torn beneath her claws, and the raw sensation of power as she tore the life from slaves used to numb Occult trainees to the feeling of taking a life.

In time, Kyrae graduated the occult and assigned her mission, an assignment to head to Ivorian and execute her cousin, Kyrau Setros-Ivorian, as a traitor to the Aukari occult. However, bearing her cousin no ill-will and feeling that her desire for chaos would not be served in her own death, Kyrae played as if she was intending to go to Ne'haer to catch a ship to Ivorian, but instead she turned south, heading to Etzos. They may hate Aukari there, but that served Kyrae's purpose well, as such a strong emotion offered many opportunities for the chaos Kyrae so longed for...

Housing

Lives in a tent when traveling, generally rents a room at an inn when arriving in a new city.
