Look with your eyes, caress with your hands


Siorey is well developed for his youthful age. Working on the family merchant fleet does a body real good, loading & unloading goods and merchandise off & on ships or seeing how can do the most push-ups among the crew. His frame is that of mesomorphic build, sporting a large bone structure, large muscles and a naturally athletic physique. His face is symmetrically round accented by his ever changing color eyes and well groomed facial hair. He is always wearing a a well kept brush cut as its easier to breath with in the hot seasons. Underneath his clothes he has a myriad of tattoo of tropical and tribal artistry on his body, one ranging from his upper right side of his body and across his right shoulder blade as well as one that spans down the length of his left hip and thigh.

My Maelstrom of a Mind


Siorey is usually light-hearten and fond of company, making jokes at his own or more so others expense. When it comes to his interactions with others, he likes to be a prankster. Even when entering combat he did not miss an opportunity to try and trick his opponent in any way possible using the his surroundings to his advantage. Friends and foes abound either are entranced or disgusted by Siorey for his eccentricities, admiring that somebody so seemingly derisive could in actuality be an admirably competent person. Like many of his race he is deeply loyal to the Bi'qaj despite how often he is away from his kinsmen, but even more fervently to the zing of coin. Despite this seafaring allure Siorey exudes, the young man also demonstrates an iron will when protecting those few who are granted acceptance in his inner circle, and offering his unwavering support. If we delve a little further, Siorey has several personality traits that set him apart from most of his kind.

Bravery: The first of his more redeeming traits is his bravery. From an early age he was a very brave child, always protecting his friends who would get in trouble and taking the blame for them. He would always abandon his fear, and never stopped moving forward no matter the hardships he faced, like loosing his family. Though being a brave soul, his courage often makes him a reckless man, always throwing himself in the face of danger, rationalizing it as seeking adventure. His courage can also lead Siorey to be very overconfident in his own capabilities, unless he knows for a fact his is far more skilled than his enemy. His courage often bleeds into his confidence, as when you have a courageous soul like his, its hard for people to doubt you and if you know your shit.

Unpredictability: Not so much good for those who dont know him, but definitely good for Siorey, his predictability allows him to throw people off in some way. The seafarer can be very mysterious, always brandishing that charming smile and diving deep into ones soul with those ever color changing eyes, never allowing those he has yet to bond with know exactly what he's thinking. Those who come to know and love the young Bi'qaj find his sarcasm and mocking politeness endearing, where others, be it friend or stranger, find it unsettling and there are very few who were willing to trust him because he is a hard man to read. Another part of his unpredictable nature is in fact his manner of tone and speech. It mainly boils down to being polite, but indirect, often causing those he speaks with to carefully consider his words and their responses, finding that there is often a hidden meaning in his words. Feeling that being predictable leaves one with far to many flaws than its worth Siorey is the kind to always take the unorthodox approach, thinking so far out of the box one would question if it truly even existed. This works in tandem with his adaptability, making a perfect pair for inconceivable combat patterns and traps, and sending even the best laid plan into disarray. Siorey openly questions and, in some cases, mocks authority only to encourage impulse and enthusiasm in those around him, always searching for new ideas and experiences, and eagerly laying waste to one's own convention and complacency to further reach new heights.

Adaptability: Stagnation is not something Siorey knows well, as he has always been evolving with time. He is a rather resourceful young man, able to think on his feet and change to the situation to get the desired result. Being at sea has shown him that nothing is constant and things can switch on you in a blink of an eye for better or worse. This coupled with his natural instincts make him dangerous if i combat, as he can easily shift to the flow of battle. He can use this adaption to survive most environments , being able to tolerate wide range of temperatures and levels of moisture with little difficulty given the severity of the situation. By being this adaptive, he is able to take experiences, apply them and evolve his approach of the situation at hand, both in a fight or business negotiation.

Personable: Being the life of any party, Siorey gives an an approachable aura no matter the setting. Always in good spirits most of the time the Bi'qaj can be an uplifting force, seeing the good in any situation, unless its truly hopeless, then at that point he'll do what he can to help ease the pain. From jokes to telling stories or making a complete fool of himself he enjoys seeing others smile and being the cause, as he knows how much it helps the soul breath, coming from his own personal experiences. Just a big ball of laughter and fun he is like a splash of cool water when needed.

Four Pointed Star (Minor): Activation of this skill will cause a silvery aurora to rise from the user upward to the sky. This will highlight certain stars in the sky that appoint the directions of a compass. This will only work at night time.

Wave Crash (Minor): This ability allows the user to summon a 15' (4.6m) wave in one direction and can choose the time the wave crashes. The user must rest for a few trials afterward before attempting to use the ability again. At Adored, this ability can create a wave as high as 25' (7.7m) and at Exalted, 100' (30m).

You Can Take the Man Out of the Sea, But Never the Sea Out of the Man

Sioery was born to loving Bi'qaj parents. From the time he could walk he was learning how to be a sailor, and his parent nurturing a love for being at sea. He was the youngest of 5 children, having an one older brother and four older sisters. His parents were well known merchant adventures, traveling the seas trading goods and experiencing life at its fullest. It was a trait they imparted on their children as Siorey and his sibling were involved in someway with the family business as well as maintaining the fleet of ships. It takes a village to raise a child, and Siorey had the best seafaring village he could ask for. He was never short on having proper guidance on how to be an exemplary sailor and leader. His father took pride in grooming him imparting in him qualities that would make a good leader. Being honest and upholding unquestionable integrity, confidence in your own decisions, Being able to inspire men & woman to follow you, having a commitment and passion for anything you do, having great communication skills, being able to delegate and empower you crew to their upmost potential, and knowing your crew on a personal level. All these qualities were instilled into Siorey, qualities he took into his teenage years.

As a young adult, like the rest of his siblings, he was given a fleet ship to command, as a coming of age ritual his family practiced With the leadership skills taught and etched into him by his father Sioery was a great captain, even if he was still getting his sea legs wet. He loved it and cherished the crew he had come to command. As a devote follower in Siera'ja his family reverence the water and everything within it, from the creatures to the colors of the sea. Swimming was something Siorey loved to do, often spending most of his down time enjoying the activity. He would always win the races him and his sibling took part in to see which of them were the better swimmer, to which Siorey was a natural. Siorey also took an interest in ships, finding a love for their development and construction. He often would sneak off when the family fleet was docked in a new city to check out what type of ships they made, often hovering over the builders and intently watching them work....until they shooed him off that is. One could say his life had few harsh moments, as all he knew were joyous times he lived each and every day, not wanting for too much and living his best life.

His life was going great, leading a ship of his own, excelling in the art of negotiation and persuasion which came in handy for brokering trade agreements across the Idolas port cities, something he took great pride in helping with, as well as learn the basics of ship building. But even the greatest of sailors must face hardships, and Siorey was no exception. Shortly after his 19 birthday while he slept within his cabin, a distinct sound shook him from his bed. It was cannon fire and the sounds of fighting. Rushing outside his heart sank as he gazed upon the scene before him. Ships flying a strange flag were attacking the family fleet. His mother and father were on his vessel, coordinating counter measures in order to save as many as they could. Siorey offered to fight, but his father refused, telling him he had to live, that there was too much life left for him to live, just to give it up in a blaze of glory. Embracing his youngest son, Siorey's father passed the family's symbol of power to him, the ocean fang, a unique trident weapon that had been in his family for ages. At that moment the ship was swarmed by assailants, and all they could do was defend themselves. Breaks later with no end in sight, Siorey's parents made a daring plan, forcing their baby boy unconscious and into a life boat, setting him a drift towards Scalvoris as there were in the area. As he awoke, he could see the aftermath, watching as the family flagship took its final hit and split in two in a cloud of flame and debris. For several trials Siorey drifted slowly in the Scalvorian waters till his was found by a sea patrol. It took a moment for him to wrap his head around what happened, but after he explained how he ended up in his current situation, he was brought to Scalvoris. With what little money he had on hand he bought a boat to live on, to stave off being homeless in an unknown place. Doing so however has placed him in debt, and after 4 arcs of trying to get find work, he finally caught a break, learning that the island's military force was in need of recruits. The first chance he got he went right to the recruiting office.

Housing


A one-masted sailing Sloop (boat) with a mainsail and jib rigged fore and aft. The sloop has a small hold and living quarters under the deck, enough room for a single bed, table or small writing desk, chair, storage chest, and shelf.
