Elyna always struggled with her academic skills, copying her work from her cousin
Lorena in order to cover the worst of her faults.
Her parents agreed that she would be allowed to travel to Andaris, under the close watch of her Father, Justice Pavoo and join the Iron Hand.
Elyna agreed that she would marry a suitor of her parents’ choice and agreed to an engagement with Alistair Venora. The engagement was not a success but called off amicably.
Elyna began her training with the Iron Hand. At the start of Cylus she had her
first kiss with Hunter Gawyne.

Vhalar- Elyna crossed paths with
Yoreth Blackwood in the training court. The pair became lovers, despite him being twelve years her senior.

Ashan - Elyna and Yoreth attended her cousins Lorena’s 18th Birthday party.
Ymiden - Lorena sailed away from Rynmere and was presumed dead. A funeral was held in her honour. Elyna was devastated by her loss.
Zi'da - Elyna learnt that Yoreth had married and fathered children during the course of their relationship. She ended their affair before he set sail and told him never to return. Shortly afterward she received a message from her brother Edmund explaining that Yoreth was lost at sea and presumed dead.
Elyna struggles with Yoreth’s loss and betrayal. She withdraws from family and friends and self-destructs. Often beaten and bloodied in the training yards and on duty with the Skyriders, she stagnates as a Sargeant without hope of promotion. She has a tendency to drink herself into oblivion and arrive to perform her duties the worse for wear. There are rumours that she has been arrested for disorderly conduct.

Vhalar Elyna is coerced into dating Vaughn Krome. They don’t get along and avoid each other as much as possible for the coming seasons.

Ashan – on the first of Ashan Elyna summons the courage to visit Vaughn (and his mother Vanessa) and tell him that they won’t be dating any longer. She has no intention or courting him or marrying him, in this life of the next. However, Vaughn is not home and Elyna meets Malcolm, his father and a Knight in the Iron Hand.
13th Ashan – Elyna meets Sabine at an arena fight. They discover a mutual hate for the practise of slavery and form a tentative acquaintance.
41st Ashan 716 – As part of her duties as a Skyrider, Elyna assists the Iron Hand with a murder investigation. Working alongside Malcolm Krome, she meets Qaerris who is rude and antagonistic and losses her temper. Malcolm reprimands her behaviour. Elyna returns to her favoured tavern and meets Qaerris again. They drink and make merry and become better friends than enemies.
Elyna trains with Malcolm and accompanies his group of Knights on a simple mission outside of the city. They’re attacked by bandits and Elyna receives a small cut. Malcolm is very heroic and offers her his shirt as a bandage. His care prompts her to consider her actions and the self-destructive tendencies she has been indulging.
Deciding to make a change in her life, Elyna tries to re-connect with old friends and returns to old haunts. Although she doesn’t see anyone she knows, she backs away from a fight rather than diving in as she usually would. However, two men follow her from the tavern and drag her into the nearest alleyway. Malcolm is tipped off by a witness and rescues her. He receives a deadly blow to his neck, which he passes back to his attacker. Frightened, Elyna pulls Malcolm out of the alleyway. His sergeant Heath followed his command and took Malcolm home to recover instead of the infirmary. Distraught, Elyna gives her statement to the investigating officers and leaves the scene. She stumbles into Qaerris who takes her to his home and offers physical comfort which she accepts.
Horrified by the events she caused, Elyna visits Malcolm as he recovers in order to return his sword. Elyna realises that she’s developed feelings for the married man, though she can’t explain how he survived the stab wound to his neck. Vanessa, Malcolm’s wife, returns from the library and interrupts their conversation.
As she recovers from the attack, Elyna’s parents request that she undertake lessons in etiquette with the hope of finding a match for her before Saun. Elyna meets Zvezdana Venora and begins her lessons with varying success.
As the season progresses, Malcolm visits Elyna at the barracks curious to know why she hasn’t returned to work with his group of Knights. Elyna professes that she’s afraid she’ll get Malcolm killed following the incident in the valley. Elyna has fallen in love with the man who tells her that he can change her memories and make her believe things that aren’t true. Elyna thinks that he is joking but agrees to accompany his group of Knights once more.
