The main tax office is located in Krome, with small branches in each of the villages and the City of Andaris. People have nothing to fear from the tax collectors... as long as they pay their taxes on time. For those who don't pay their taxes on time or continue to avoid payments, the consequences of tax evasion are unpleasant. Emmanuel Leopold is charged with hunting down those who refuse to, or simply can't afford pay their taxes, and use any amount of force deemed necessary to acquire the missing funds.
The main office in Krome is two stories high, well guarded, and fenced off from the public, accessible only during the working hours of 8am to 4pm. The smaller offices are single story with four guards patrolling at all times, two accountants, and well fortified safes.
