Hey guys, just wanted to promote the use of Rynmere Bank, it's not only for loans, you can deposit money as well to earn interest.

Got a quick question. Slaves. Where do they come from?
I know criminals can get forced into indentured servitude, though from my understanding they don't go to your neighborhood slave auction. From what I understand slavers sometimes operate inside major population centers, though I'm under the impression this is illegal. I assume the state doesn't let random Joe Dirtfarmer get grabbed, as the small towns around Rynmere would be ghost towns. So I assume that a most of the slaves are usually from out of state, as it were, or illegally obtained. This correct?
From an economic standpoint, most luxury goods incur heavy taxation. Slaves, I guess, would be one of these luxury goods. So I assume, as to avoid taxes there would be black market slavery (prolly black market sale of narcotics as well, to avoid taxes). Mind you, the market would be much smaller than real world human trafficking, but it would probably exist. Are these fair assumptions?

I'll make an attempt to answer this...
Indentured slaved for crime get sent to work in the mines of Endor - not a nice place. Alternately they're put to trial in the arena. Household slaved are I expect imported from other places on idalos. There is an element of illegal activity and trafficking/smuggling to avoid taxation but generally common folk of rynmere would be generally safe from being kidnapped and sold themselves.
I think this is correct

Correct that slaves come from outsid of Rynmere. Slavers are taxed, average joe who buys a slave isn't (or its included in the one time price, and tax you pay every season to live).

Good deal, thank ya. Yana wanted to do a thread and I was looking into them possibly interrupting a budding illegal slave operation. Given that proper peacekeepers are busy with the war effort. This would give a chance for Paladin to be the hero, and Yana to make some money.

You have my permission to approve NPCs. Got quite a bit on my plate so check with players if they still want the NPCs pending in Development and add them if so. Thanks ladies.

Hi folks! We've updated the Noble Houses thread with information on High Fashion in Venora. A huge thanks goes to Alistair for putting this together! If any other noble houses would like to write up fashion for their forts/cities, please feel free to do so and submit it to the Development Thread for approval.
Another thank you goes to Alistair for creating several Venora NPCs! Ebony Venora, Willow Venora, and Kaleb Venora have all been added to Venora Village.
We've also updated the Noble Houses thread with our newest approved PCs (welcome, Celeste Andaris!). If I've missed anyone, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Thanks!
