Amaris did not like this man.

He liked to think of himself as someone who didn’t have much capability for disliking a person - but that was a somewhat broken concept, given a certain...interaction last season. And this dislike had nothing to do with the suspicion he harbored towards the man. He was, in the councillor's mind, vile. The story was that Polehko had abused Aku’ana, and while that was enough to make someone very unfavorable, he didn’t seem the least bit remorseful. Almost as if he enjoyed throwing his weight around - or the knowledge that he could hurt the woman - and seeing her reaction. While his fellows got their own bit of conversation in, Amaris chimed in afterwards.

“What made you change your mind to come back?” Given the messy history, there had to be a good enough reason to return to a place with such toxic memories. He reminded critical of the man, and once the answer was given, the mixed blood followed after the others back into the tent.

Patrick’s idea was, while dangerous, not as bad as he would have thought the man capable of. Would have been nice if he’d left off the tail end of statement. “I agree; this can’t be drawn out for much longer. This plan could work, but that’s a lot of risk. If Ms. Aku’ana is willing, we could certainly find a way for this to succeed.” Swallowing, Amaris ran a hand through his hair, expression not quite as optimistic as his words. “And, I’m afraid, I haven’t any other ideas to offer.”

~78th of Ymiden 718~

The way that he smiled at Rynata and winked at Amaris, before he started walking away. Looking to Patrick. For a trill, it looked like a flash of anger flickered in Polehko's eyes before blinked and it was gone. He smiled to the man and chuckled.

"I guess that's true enough Miss Rynata, weakness sometimes gives way to the strangest of strengths. And Ser, I'm sure that you're well aware what she's like. You don't have to ask me what it was like. I had my heart broken, that's all I'll say."

He looked like he wanted to strangle Patrick though. He looked after Aku'ana as she ran crying into the tent. Looking like he kind of wanted to follow her, but at the same time it was obvious he wouldn't. He turned away but looked over his shoulder as Amaris asked his question.

"Lovely Dark Miss. I wish I knew your name, but to answer your question, I lost the fun in my life. Simple as that. I'd always thirsted for adventure and entertainment. It's quite exhilarating to stand on stage. You probably would enjoy it. The guys would go crazy over you. Think about it."

He winked once more and then he was walking away. The man walked towards the main tent as the outsiders all went back into Aku'ana's tent. When they all went inside, they would find the dark skinned woman looking extremely pale, rocking back and forth on one of the ground pillows, hugging her legs, tears streaming down her face.

She barely even flinched when Patrick talked about her like she was a slut. That was what she was wasn't she? It could be seen on her face. Tears continued to stream down her face as she buried it into her knee's. She started to hiccup and her words came out as a broken whisper.

"I'm sorry... I'm.. such a slut."

She would shake off anyone that tried to touch her at that moment, shaking her head no continuously. Her heart obviously in a bad place. Her fingers were white as she dug her nails into her knee's, still not looking up to meet anyone's gaze.

"I... wanted to escape.. I've been with.. men and women... Lock... Polehko, uhm... Darvin though everyone calls him Loi.. uhm... Novai'li, he's a stage hand.... Garant, the one from the alley way, then.. Yventa the knife thrower.. she knows quite a lot about what goes on around the troupe."

Then she suddenly looked up at Patrick, her face bright red as her mind took in what he said next. Was he insinuating what she was thinking he was. She shuddered and blushed more as she realized that the thought was correct with his next words. He wanted to make the person jealous by maybe him showing her a good time.. and it sounded like he was interested in more than just her. She cleared her throat and looked down and away shyly again. She had to admit that he was definitely her type. Rough, ragged, and one that seemed strong, as well as her typical go to of a trouble maker.

Amaris was the one that surprised her though. Agreeing to such a plan. She actually looked up at Amaris with disbelief for a moment but she could feel it. She was kind of excited. Her face brightened and she cleared her throat as she looked to Rynata next, simply refusing to meet Patrick's eye's again. She wasn't looking in her eyes, just looking towards her.

"H.. How would we do it? I... I want to be able to sleep in peace again.... Please... At this point... I'd do anything to feel safe once more."

Rynata's hand hovered uncertainly somewhere above Aku'ana's shoulder as the woman wouldn't allow herself to be touched. As a plan was brought up to provoke the stalker, Rynata straightened up, fingers massaging her temples. It was certainly a dangerous plan. Not for them, really, though she didn't doubt that the stalker's ire would extend toward them. The worry was mostly for Aku'ana. Still, the dancer in question almost seemed energized as her face turned toward hers.

"Well, if we are to go through with this plan," Rynata started, lowering her voice so that it hung only in the hushed air around them, "one of us, I suppose Patrick, would be your escort for the night. Go out, have fun, forget about this stalker business. That'll really put their nets in a tangle," she added, smiling during the last part. "I suggest sticking to familiar haunts, but not ones with too many people. Our objective here is to go fishing for a specific catch, and that'll be more difficult in a crowd. Personally, I'd swing by the docks. It should be dark and quiet, and I know my way around it. But I'll defer to Mr. here, as he'll be the first line of defense. Amaris and I, we can be close at hand. We can pretend to part ways for the night."

Looking from Aku'ana's drawn face to the rest of her companions, Rynata tilted her head as if to ask for any further input. It wasn't the most meticulous of plans, simply because it relied on riling up the stalker's emotions. Yet since that was exactly the sort of manipulative method that the unsavory fellow used against their victim, she hoped it would work as a taste of their own medicine.

"Act the part, but do stay alert. It may come down to a scuffle. And let's hope that the stalker plays into our hand. They've been slippery so far, but things seem to have been escalating. And...well...I'd prefer to spring the trap on our terms instead of theirs."

With that, Rynata moved closer to the entrance, ready to leave with Amaris on a 'separate' route to the two 'love birds'.

Did he really like this plan? Not really, but it was all they had. Sighing, Amaris watched the performer’s reaction a moment before Rynata spoke up. The woman seemed almost excited by this and the mixed blood took it as further sign of compliance and willingness to get through this whole ordeal as she’d stated before. Rynata remained practical in her assessment and suggestions, something that Amaris could agree with.

“If we separate further, Ms. Rynata and I, we could flank either side and catch this stalker unaware. It would be best to corner them as quickly as possible, given we don’t know what entirely they are capable of. So far we’ve only heard of their antics and seen a bit of it. They could have plenty more up their sleeve we don’t know about.” He waited for further input from Patrick, the leading man of this scenario, brows drawn. The Rharnian has proven thus far to be particularly reliable, in a sense. He hoped it would carry on for this plan - being he’d come up with it and all.

Following the conclusion of their strategizing, Amaris would walk off with Rynata. His expression echoed his distress, mouth a thin line and brows so close together they might have been one. Of course, he would not have relayed his doubts on the competence of their decoy material, but he supposed that Patrick would at least look somewhat intimidating. It might give the stalker pause, hesitation on whether or not they would be capable of facing off against him. And he was a wise choice, likely able to make Aku’ana fall into a lively act for the evening.

Regardless of the small bit of optimism he felt, he could not hold back the sigh that left him. He glanced back at the Rharnian and performer, then sighed again.

Patrick hardly seemed swayed by the girl's ability to accept the slander she'd branded herself with, in truth it wasn't so much a bad thing since technically the Rharnian had no real room to talk. He too had such frivolous tendencies after all, so in essence he had no real capacity to judge a woman such as Aku. Nor did he. But when one of those 'lovers' wanted to turn crazy, stalk you to the point of complete insanity, and wind up killing innocent creatures all for the sake of some game; well then that showed just how careless someone had been recently.

Patrick had always found it easier to avoid commitment for this very reason, no real baggage or loose strings still tangled to him. Even with the credible list provided by Aku there seemed hardly any way to narrow down the numbers, as the Rharnina held six names accountable already by this woman alone. Not necessarily so bad or disappointing, since he'd slept with plenty of folk by now. Particularly because it paid well... point being the potential suspects were named now, and while he hadn't any clue as to who might be the stalker; his plan to lure that person out might as well create opportunity.

The suggestion seemed feasible enough to work with the others, as Rynata seemed to come up with a bit more elaborate suggestion afterwards. "This is insane." Ri sighed as she clearly didn't approve of the idea, however Pat had always had a knack for moments like this. Danger. Excitement. Never let it be said that the Rharnian always knew ways of finding trouble, even when he never really went to look for it to begin with. All the same he couldn't help but grin just a little, a little amused at how this horrible idea suddenly seemed brilliant.

"I like that plan. Aku and I can go wherever while you two pretend to be elsewhere, and I'm willing to go wherever you feel most inclined to have fun Aku." He chimed with a glance to her as the grin still remained, his hands rested at his hips as he listened to the rest of what the other two had to say. Both Ryn and Amaris had very important things to be aware of, such as the fact that this was a ruse while at the same time; making it look real enough to lure the stalker out into the open.

As well as keeping in mind that their suspect could still have a few tricks up their sleeve, while the group might have an incline on how this person acts towards Aku entirely. "You both would definitely be welcome to have hanging back from afar, maybe only part ways for a little bit only to keep a distant eye on us. Preferably anybody following us, if there's anybody out of the ordinary tailing Aku and me." That part seemed rather sound, since they'd be there to back him up if he needed the help.

As for the distraction? What they were going to do to lure him into the open? Well he may had been no actor by any means, but Patrick certainly understood the tenacity involved with jealousy. If their private onlooker did watch at all times, then he merely had to be himself and flirt. Easy since that was something he'd grown extremely well versed with, and then hopefully the rest would unfold in accordance with the plan. "As wild and unusual as this plan sounds, I'm actually a little convinced it could work out for us." He commended with another look shot to Aku, with lips curved into a warm and encouraging grin.

"A little??"

He paid the comment no mind since clearly they were planning to go through with this, and merely fed into the idea with a hand held open for the girl to take. If they were going out somewhere together, he certainly would go the extra mile to 'look the part' he signed up for. "Wherever you wanna go, that's our getaway for the evening."

OOC Note: As of Ashan 717 Patrick has been cursed with Sesser, therefore once a season he's at risk of turning into a Sessfiend. Should the occassion actually come to occur, PC's are warned to consider the extreme risk of injury and even their life; before proceeding to participate in the event. Looking forward to the potential plots and threads to come!

~78th of Ymiden 718~

Aku'ana kept quite for a short time as she looked between all those there with her. Ryn and Amaris making very good points, they would have to make it believable, though, for reason's unbeknownst to them, Aku'ana seemed confident that it could be done. She stood up once more and brushed herself off, messing with her hair a bit to make it look a little better by putting it up and slipped on a light jacket, buttoning it up and then tying the skirt up a bit.

She looked like a completely different person. She was poised, tall and confident. A small smirk started to play on her lips as she looked over the team before her. Two woman, and a man helping her. It was clear what needed to be done. Her heart fluttered at the thought of it. For a good couple of trills there was no doubt in her mind. She walked forward and looked to the girls.

"I trust you guys. Don't worry about the act, it's my living. Besides, I can tell it won't be hard with this one. It's just up to the.... creep whether he want's to show up or not."

She shook her head a bit and nodded to them as they walked out of the tent. Whatever they decided to do, split or stick together was up to them when they got outside. Aku'ana knew that they would do what they could. Amaris was kind, and had a knack for the gentle touch. Though it was obvious what type she liked more. Ones a little more like Patrick, though maybe only at certain times. Not that she would tell anyone.

She looked up to Patrick and took his hand slowly with a soft smile. Blushing a bit, where to go? That was a question. She hadn't had a night out on the town for a long while. She though about it for a trill or two before she looked to him and stepped a bit closer. Moving in to hug his arm with a soft giggle.

"i like Ryn's idea of going to the docs, there are taverns around annnnd... there are parts by the water that are secluded enough, we might get to skinny dip later."

She said playfully, letting him start leading the way. If all went well, she might even ask him to come to her tent when this whole fiasco was over. For now though. She just leaned a bit, her chest pressing against his arm through her coat and her head laying on his shoulder a bit. Even with the pain in her feet and torso, she would walk with grace, like she'd worked through pain like this many times before.

In the shadow's they lurked, watching as everyone slipped out of the tent. They smirked to themselves, so this was the game they were going to play. To bad their game was completely different and in their book they were still winning. They followed at quite the distance, impossible to spot in the darkness period. A new game of cat and mouse was about to start, and it started with the chase.

Patrick wasn't surprised to see Aku not only dress up but fit herself for the mentality of the part also, acting was sure and well enough one of her natural talents given how quickly she adjusted to the idea. One would think this scheme ludacris as Ri'ku apparently considered it nuts, but somehow the plan seemed tactfully fit to drive out the perpetrator who'd been hassling the dancer. In a sense it'd be sweet poetic justice if Pat was the one who not only flushed him out, but wrangled him up for the authorities to take away so he could make sweet love to the girl. But that of course was the iconic role of any hero in a story, and one Patrick more than ever felt earnest to deviat from. Sure he wouldn't mind the chance to woo the girl, but given the fact he's done that on numerous occasions, putting a stop to this stalker business was somehow what he truly wanted.

In a sense he was trying to be the hero, even if he'd have to someone portray himself the villain in this light. The real villain. The one that would make a mockery of the one behind the scenes, and attempting to ruin the very thing the crook wanted so very badly. Jealousy was a fickle thing and Patrick had ways of inspiring such in others, he wasn't a Hound at the Harlot 'n' Hound for nothing after all. Nor one of the exquisite escorts briefly hired by Theo and Zana either, as they required courtesans of high calibur for the extremely luxurious of Rharne. Patrick had put in a lot of effort to get far back at home, and while he certainly wanted to return to it now; he still had quite a lot of unfinished business to tend to before then. "Ri. I want you to hang back just a little ways, follow me and Aku from a distance and keep a bird's eye view."

"You.... want me to help?"

"Not only that, I want to you pinpoint this sucker so that he doesn't have any chance of getting away. Keep an eye out for any of those we've seen already, any who could've been the potential stalker in question. Understand?"

"Ugh, got it!" Though not certain how she seemed eager if not earnest to assist, definitely not going to press her luck with rubbing it in Patrick's face. He was after all starting to show himself as willing to help out, a terrible choice on his part but rightly so. He couldn't stand aside much longer and let this charade continue, not if he had the means to stop it somehow at least. And though Ri'ku was there to help only he could see her, that granted a minor boon when trying to lure out potential criminals. Not even his comrades knew she existed, which was for the best in truth. If people knew a fairy on visible to Patrick was helping them, he'd certainly be ridiculed if not treated with caution due to sounding mad. Worse things have happened of course, but those were times he would've rather avoided looking back on.

"Let's go to the docks then." Patrick dryly mused with a bit of a smirk shot down at the lady, a little pleased with himself for coming up with this horribly brilliant plan. It wasn't everyday that the Rharnian found himself brimming with ideas, only when it came to drinking was he credibly able to manage such feats. But this? This was entirely based on a gamble he could easily lose, and he most certainly wasn't going to lose it willingly. Thus they left the confines of her tent shortly after Amaris and Rynata left, bound for their destination in a leisurely stroll as Patrick slightly nudged his arm a couple of times. More or less to bring it over Aku's shoulders and hold her closer into him as they walked, as an easy sign for the stalker to flag down as 'date material' honestly. Patrick though? He wasn't even trying with that brief stunt, didn't even consider if Aku might like it or not.

It was just something done to create more ire towards him from the enemy. "You're either trying too hard... or just really enjoying this."

"Bit of both maybe." He reassured her with the smirk still plastered on his face, his eyes more so forward on the path to their destination than Aku now. Come to think of it what he did was actually good, because he could better shield her from danger at this point. With Aku so close it'd be easy to sweep her away, or shepherd her in the direction of safety come the moment of truth. Yeah! He was totally managing this just fine... Or maybe improvising too much. Fuck. He didn't want to pretend too hard, maybe if he'd treated it more like a date then that'd change. But how? He hadn't... dated anybody in so long, romance was never something he could stick with since all his partners left one way or another. Fuck. This was terrible. Just absolutely terrible, his best idea possible and now he was going to make a royal mess of it.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine!" He snapped with a thought defensively. "See anything yet?"

"Um.... nurp."

Crap. He needed to remain calm and collected in order for this to work, if he had alcohol then this would be a cinch. But all he had in his arm was.... Aku. Wait a Gods forsaken Bit, he had Aku in his arm to help with that attempt! Suddenly it seemed a little easier as the answer was right there! Aku! "So you into foreigners? Got plenty to show and tell you afterwards when this date goes to the private room." He tried to coo at her casually, although thankfully it was only low enough to where Aku would hear him. Except Ri'ku. She was laughing hysterically as it echoed in the confines of his noggin, taunting him and his horrible capacity to flirt with her since he wasn't as practiced as he'd wanted to be. Not with this... dating game. Gods he was so terrible.

Needless to say he carried out his role as her escort, physically, to the docks where they would wait out in the open. Patrick would gander at the stars briefly before staring back down at Aku, his eyes narrowed as he shot at her a vacant grin to follow as well. Somehow this was fun. The pretending part, the mystery and allure of a criminal, the setup for what could essentially be a brilliant trap? Patrick really hoped that'd be the case, but didn't expect anything to be fool proof. It was his plan after all, and if anybody knew Patrick; he was a gambling man at heart. "This is fun." He quietly admitted to her with a quick glance around, not noticing anyone suspicious in the moment he looked about. Normal circumstances dictated he'd try to be at least a gentleman, and pose some 'romantic rhetoric' before leaning in to kiss her. But Patrick?

Nah.

He merely leaned into her with lips puckered, just to push his luck and see if Aku would either slap him or actually kiss him back. He wasn't rough or forceful to be sure, but he didn't hesitate to try and create a heated romantic moment between them.

Rynata took a different route to the docks, weaving away from the colorful tents and stepping through the wall of buildings to where the ocean was visible. She spotted Aku'ana and Patrick a little ways behind, walking arm in arm. If one was none the wiser, they simply appeared to be another pair of love birds out for an evening stroll. Smiling to herself, Rynata kept an eye on the people milling around, but none of them seemed overly suspicious. There were hopeless drunks here and there, but no person was looking at the pair with murderous intent.

Walking down the dock, light from a crowded tavern fell across the street and onto her path. Thinking it a nice place to disappear for a moment, Rynata veered toward the source of the light and seated herself on the outside steps. The revelry seemed to have spilled out from inside the establishment and not a few patrons were lounging about, enjoying the cooling evening air. A group of tipsy fellow sailors collapsed onto her stairs and Rynata smiled amiably at them. They seemed harmless enough. Most of them were intent on consoling their young-looking friend who seemed to be drunkenly bemoaning a lost romance. One of them tugged on her sleeve, intent on drawing her into the conversation. Something about advice on women.

Meanwhile, she watched Aku'ana pass by with Patrick still at her side. She didn't know if they saw her in the patch of crowd but hoped they knew she was somewhere close by. Amaris should be around as well, and since nothing had happened yet they would have to continue the ruse. From the direction the couple was headed, Rynata knew whereabouts they might go. If they kept to the docks, they should be easy enough to find.

Keeping to the stairs, Rynata kept an eye on anyone that might be tracing her companion's steps. She couldn't imagine that they would try something in this populated area, but there was no such thing as too much caution, now.

Aku'ana made her choice and the group set out as planned. Amaris, for all that it was worth, did only marginally think that this might succeed. Certainly with Aku'ana's...history she might seem prone to such night-time ventures with someone like Patrick. Not that either of their characters were up for judgement; it just seemed that they would fit for this occasion and might have even been on more friendly terms if they'd met in any other way. This was, purportedly, the best thing they could have used to lure out the stalker.

But, as the immortals would have it, Amaris would not be available to see it through. As much as the mixed blood would have wished to stick around, they had other duties that were more pressing to their title to deal with. He was already on thin ice with his performance thus far. And - it was not as though he were of great help to begin with. He could only offer minimal consolation and a fleeting treatment to Aku'ana's person. He would, though, check back at a later date to see if all had worked out. As the group separated, he considered informing Rynata of his situation before departing, but she had already gone her own way when the thought had crossed his mind.

Instead, he pulled aside a child running about and asked them to relay a message, dropping a silver nel into their much smaller palm and sending them off in the direction he had seen Rynata go. Things would work out just fine. He was sure of it. Or, he hoped as much very strongly.
