Eastern Hotlands
Far away from Nashaki itself, and indeed far away from anything, some might assume that the Eastern Hotlands would see more settlement by virtue of it's more hospitable terrain. Unfortunately, two things prevent this from being little more than a glorified military settlement. The first is Luesco's Wall. These mounts are difficult to pass without a significant force, and many have been lost in the attempt. Military forces, large and well equipped, have proved able to traverse this range of sheer cliff faces, but it is always a risky proposition.
The other obstacle is the Ghost Gate. This area is awash with strange disappearances, from individuals to entire camps and even whole villages vanishing without a trace. Only the hardiest or most spiritual nomads will visit this area, and thus it is largely abandoned. Some of the more crazy adventurers believe that these lost travellers and villages can be restored if whatever force that caused their disappearance is undone, but Nashaki has gone out of its way to discourage this rumor, so as not to lose to much of the working class to their doomed dreams of heroism.
