The Domain of Disease and Decay

Image

Upon first impression, the Domain of Disease and Decay appears as little more than a lush jungle, sweltering and humid in the pinnacle of Saun. In the branches of the trees, many species of jungle fauna lounge, all with glowing eyes that peer out at the inhabitants of the area. The air is thick with insects, and the bright foliage of the flora denotes a particular poisonous quality that seems to permeate everything.

However, as one delves deeper into the jungle, the denseness of the trees, underbrush and vines thickens. The glowing eyes become more frequent, and the insect swarms stick to the skin like the humidity. The sounds of the jungle are louder here, with the beating of insect wings and the panting of jungle cats overpowering the sound of all other things. The scent becomes sickly-sweet, smelling of dead and rotting things, and the flora underneath foot softens to become fertilizer.

Settled deep in the center of the poisonous flora, there sits a massive stone structure. Rising as high as one can see, the stone walls are covered in vine and ivy, with poison frogs climbing all over the walls. The Fortress of the Plaguedaughter is an unassailable den of poison and pestilence, and it is apparent from the aura surrounding the place. The fauna closest to the tower mutates horribly, sending out hideous amalgamations of the species into the forest to breed and live, populating the entirety of the Domain with hideous monsters. It is here that Lisirra brings her most loyal, or most hated.
