[Pegasus]

16th Ashan, 721

The girl was afraid.

She hadn't been, not at first. But now? Now, the girl crossed he arms and puffed out her cheeks. Now, she glared defiantly at The Man with a deep frown in the brows above her golden eyes. When The Man had come to her house, she had been sleeping. It was funny, really, how everyone of the Big People - even the other children - had just... not been there. And then, there'd been The Man.

He'd looked like someone she knew - someone she trusted. She'd taken his hand and smiled and they'd just ... walked out of the house together. No one had stopped them, and he was nice.

But now, she didn't like him. She wanted to go home and he wouldn't let her. She was in a place that was dark and she was afraid. She had a nice bed and some toys, but there were funny noises and she was scared. Sometimes, she heard things that sounded like monsters. She cried, and no one came - no one spoke to her.

She was never in any danger - but she was very unhappy. There were no tracks from where she taken - but at the moment that Ru and The Man disappeared? Hart could no longer sense his daughter's presence. He didn't feel like she was in danger, he simply experienced a "switching off" of that ability.

The people in Kirei's house would report that there had been a knock at the door, then Ru had been gone. Nothing happened in between. They could be questioned, of course- and there might even be other things which could be done. If they chose to, it would change what would come.

Because what would come - it would do so after a long wait. Twenty two trials was an eternity to the girl.

And, of course - to her parents.

38th Ashan, 721

I will exchange her for you. Come alone, to the place you dreamed of.
I watch you all. Every plan, every conversation.
If you try to double cross me, we will simply never meet.

Wherever it was that Hart was - he had the same dream every night after Ruari was taken. In that dream, he always saw that note.

But that was probably nothing, right?

Ok so. With the permission of her PC parents, Ruari has been kidnapped. You have from the 16th - 28th Ashan to do what you will regarding this. Hart - I'll have a chat with you if you follow that dream. On the 38th Ashan Something Else will happen, but it will depend on the action (or inaction) of the PCs. Summary of what you're doing: Hart and Vega speak [though their lion's lockets] about Ru's kidnapping, and Hart asks if Vega will look after Wren so that he's able to meet the kidnapper's demands. Vega agrees, and so Hart sends Wren to her in Hopetoun, Faldrass.

Summary of what you're doing: After the meeting in the Glass Temple, Bao switches locations with Ruari. He meets Hart in the Vault. Bao is disguised by the immortals to seem to be Ru.
