Location and Rarity: Darkgem, also called Midnyte by the Seekers, can be found in any type of fracture. It will never appear during the day, however is easy to find in fractures during Idalos' night time hours.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: Raw Darkgem appears as a smooth, cold marble-like substance with a cloudy black colour.
-Core: Darkgem cores are smooth, perfectly spherical stones with a rich blue colour. They glow with a faint purple light in the presence of Moonglass.
-Fragments: Darkglass fragments quickly crumble into a fine black sand, which each count as small but very weak fragments.

Inherent Abilities:
Darkgem can store 1 Novice Aspect of any Domain Magic. A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use. These stored aspects are 1 time use, but more can be added after the first are used.

Additionally as one of the Lunar Trinity wells, the abilities of Darkgem changes when in a 20 meter radius of Moonglass. It will not regain its original property until moved out of this radius. If placed into an item, thrall or magical construct it will become twice as strong during the night, but the touch of sunlight will quickly burn it away until nothing but ash is left. The item will also be repulsed by the presence of Moonglass and unable to attack someone holding it.

-Raw:
Normal - Wearing Darkgem or keeping it on their person will make the owner nocturnal. They feel more awake and energetic at night, but more lethargic during the day. It has no affect on creatures that are nocturnal already.

Near Moonglass - Wearing Darkgem or keeping it on their person will make the wielder temporarily blind until it is removed.

-Core:
Normal - Wearing a Darkgem core or keeping it on their person will grant the owner perfect night vision. Everything they see is coated in a pale green light that illuminates darkness like night vision goggle. Sudden bursts of light will temporarily blind someone using this ability.

Near Moonglass - If near raw Moonglass, the Darkgem core has the same blinding property as it does in its raw form. If near a Moonglass core however, a Darkgem core will make whoever wears it or has it on their person completely invisible during nighttime. Any solid object touching the wielder's skin directly is also made invisible, but does not transfer transitively through other objects.

-Fragments:
Normal - Darkgem fragments do not normally have any properties.

Near Moonglass - Darkgem fragments become mildly poisonous in the presence of Moonglass. Those who inhale it will become inconveniently sick for five trials when near Moonglass, and experience sharp stomach pains, nausea, dizziness and lethargy. These symptoms take effect immediately, and do not fade until the five trials have expired or the Moonglass is taken away. Heartyte wells can treat these symptoms, but other medicine has little to no effect.

Location and Rarity: Saltenrock, also called Tritonyte by the Seekers, can be found in fractures of any type. However it is only found in fractures that have opened within the ocean, making it rather difficult to obtain.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: Raw Saltenrock is a slate-like substance with a rough texture. It takes shapes similar to conchs or other sea stones, and colours can range between various shades of blue and purple.
-Core: Saltenrock cores are white, teardrop shaped stones with a smooth texture. They glow with a faint white light in the presence of Moonglass.
-Fragments: Saltenrock fragments quickly crumble into a fine blue sand, which each count as small but very weak fragments.

Inherent Abilities:
Saltenrock can store 1 Novice Aspect of any Domain Magic. A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use. These stored aspects are 1 time use, but more can be added after the first are used.

Additionally as one of the Lunar Trinity wells, the abilities of Saltenrock changes when in a 20 meter radius of Moonglass. It will not regain its original property until moved out of this radius. If placed into an item, thrall or magical construct, the object will become twice as fast when submerged in ocean water and able to swim, but will only be able to move at a painfully slow shamble on land. They will also be repulsed by the presence of Moonglass and unable to attack someone holding it.

-Raw:
Normal - Wearing Saltenrock or keeping it on their person will make the owner able to hold their breath for between twice to thrice as long as they normally would. This only takes effect if they are swimming in seawater, and has no effect on those who can breathe underwater anyway.

Near Moonglass - The ocean for 10 miles around the Saltenrock will become wild and choppy, easily able to sink small ships.

-Core:
Normal - Wearing a Saltenrock core or keeping it on their person will make the owner able to breath underwater. This only takes effect if they are swimming in seawater, and has no effect on those who can breathe underwater anyway.

Near Moonglass - If near raw Moonglass, the Saltenrock core has the same storm-calling property as it does in its raw form. If near a Moonglass core however, a Saltenrock core will instead calm the ocean around it for 10 miles and make sailing within this space very easy.

-Fragments:
Normal - Saltenrock fragments do not normally have any properties.

Near Moonglass - As soon as they are in the radius if effect the Saltenrock fragments will turn into regular seawater, and will never turn back again.

Location and Rarity: Beast Eye, also called Lycanyte by the Seekers, can only be found in major or grand fractures and is pretty rare to come across. It also grows in the spot the last member of an extinct species died in and in places sacred to Karem.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: Beast Eye looks like a jagged, dull silver star and is never more than the size of a person's palm. It is slightly reflective, however if a living creature looks into it they will only see the reflection on a wolf looking back at them.
-Core: Beast Eye cores are perfectly spherical, eye sized marbles with a variety of different colours and a small black spot in the centre When pressed into living flesh they will fuse into it, put can be pulled out again easily and mostly painlessly.
-Fragments: Beast Eye fragments quickly crumble into a fine silver sand, which each count as small but very weak fragments.

Inherent Abilities:
Beast Eye can store 3 Novice Aspects or 2 Competent Aspects of any Domain Magic, (or a proper combination of such, with Novice being .33, Competent .50 with the maximum total being 1.0). A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use. These stored aspects are 1 time use, but more can be added after the first are used.

Additionally as one of the Lunar Trinity wells, the abilities of Beast Eye changes when in a 20 meter radius of Moonglass. It will not regain its original property until moved out of this radius. If placed into an item, thrall or magical construct non-sentient animals, except for canines, will feel the urge to flee at the sight of it. They will also be repulsed by the presence of Moonglass and unable to attack someone holding it.

-Raw:
Normal - Whoever carries Beast Eye with them will find that wolves, dogs and other canines instinctively respect them. They will not attack unless provoked, and may be more inclined to follow their commands if it does not put them at too much risk.

Moonglass - When touched by any living creature, including a sentient one, the Beast Eye fuses itself into the part of the creature it touched and forces them to transform into a huge, ravenous wolf monster. Overcome by feral instincts, this monster will attack and devour anything it can find except for anyone holding Moonglass until it leaves the Moonglass’ radius of effect. At this point the creature will be transformed back to their original form and the Beast Eye will defuse from them. While the transformation cannot be resisted, characters with high levels of meditation or discipline and able to slow down the speed at which the transformation takes place by 1 trill (second) per skill point, allowing them to get away from the Moonstone before fully transforming.

The wolf monster can be up to 7ft tall, highly muscular, and can blend human and wolf traits (such as needing to stand on two legs or four) however the player desires, but cannot possess any other supernatural abilities. It's appearance should be a reflection of the character's savage, primal side, and players are encouraged to be as creative as they like in describing this form. They are welcome to change this form if their characters personality is drastically altered by an event, and do not need to apply for permission to create or alter their form. However they are expected to accurately portray the fact that their character's mind is completely overwhelmed by feral instincts and that they are not thinking like they usually would when in this form (for example they can't ignore attacking another character just because they're friends if there's no-one else around.)

-Core:
Normal - When a Beast Eye core is fused into a person's skin, that person will find they are able to shift between their original form and the form of a wolf or dog at will. This is a true, physical transformation. The form is a reflection of their personality, and cannot be consciously chosen, but can naturally change if the owner's personality changes. (Players are welcome to choose their own forms as they wish, so long as every form is a real type of canine with no additional features or powers. A chihuahua is fine. A dire wolf is not.) When in canine form the person still keeps their human consciousness and ability to think like a human, but is literally the animal is every other possible way. When transformed the Beast Eye is absorbed into the body and can only be removed forcibly through surgery, but if that happens the person will be forced to revert to their original form. Player's are encouraged to be creative regarding what form their character takes when using this stone, and do not need to apply for specific permission to create or change their form.

Near Moonglass - If near raw Moonglass, the Beast Eye core has the same monstrous property as it does in its raw form. If near a Moonglass core however a person with the Beast Eye core fused into them will be able to shift between their original form and the form of the wolf monster at will, and will still retain their self-awareness when in monster form (though will still struggle against powerful feral instincts.) This monster follows the same rules as the one listed in the raw form section, except that the character keeps their intelligence and self-awareness.

-Fragments:
Normal - Beast Eye fragments do not normally have any properties.

Near Moonglass - Beast Eye fragments inhaled by anything transformed into an animal will forcibly transform them back into their original form. This can turn Becomers back into their self form (whether they want to or not) unless they are revealed, in which case it will have no effect. Yludih and Naer are forced into the form they instinctively take, and those transformed by Immortal or Mortalborn powers are reverted back to their original bodies.

Location and Rarity: Moonglass, also called Selenenyte by the Seekers, can only be found in major of grand fractures. It only appears during Cylus, and only in places touched by the light of all three moons simultaneously.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: Raw Moonglass is always spherical in shape and about the size of a tennis ball, with a rough texture and a litter of small craters across its surface. It is normally a dull grey, but when in moonlight becomes a clear, semi-transparent silver through which the light from its core can be seen.
-Core: Moonglass cores are tiny, crescent shapes gems about the size of a tictac. They are smooth and cool to the touch, and glow very brightly with a strong silver light.
-Fragments: Moonglass fragments crumble away to ashes the moment the core is removed from them, which each count as small but very weak fragments.

Inherent Abilities:
Moonglass can store 4 Novice Aspects, 3 Competent Aspects, 2 Expert Aspects, or 1 Master aspect of any Domain Magic (or a proper combination of such, with Novice being .25, Competent .33, Expert .50, and Master being 1.0, with the maximum total being 1.0). A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use.

Unlike most wells, Moonglass does not have any inherent abilities of its own. Instead it has the effect of changing the abilities of any Darkgem, Saltenrock or Beast Eye wells (together called the Lunar Trinity) within a 20 meter radius of it. These effects are usually detrimental to the wielder of the other well unless both wells are in their core forms. When installed within an item, thrall or magical construct, the object becomes attracted to any Lunar Trinity wells in a 20 meter radius.[/u]

Moonglass was discovered by the Seeker Selena Nyx, from whom its Seeker name is derived from. It was her who discovered the effects it had on Nightgem, Saltenrock and Beast Eye, and first dubbed those wells The Lunar Trinity. Selena believed that Moonglass was not actually the wells true form: that it could be combined with the Lunar Trinity somehow to make a ‘Full Moon Stone’ that held the power to make its master the ruler of the night. However the search for the method to create a Full Moon Stone drove Selena insane, and she died a few arcs later ranting and raving about how the secret of the Moonstone had died with Treid.

Location and Rarity: Maxan, also called Teslyte by the Seekers, is a very common type of well found only in minor fractures. Is it especially easy to find after thunderstorms. It only ever appears alongside its counterpart Mixin, and together are often collectively called The Scientist’s Stones.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: Raw Maxan is a lumpy, hard clay-like substance with a bright electric-blue colour. Touching it sends a tingling sensation downs one's body and makes all their hairs stand on end.
-Core: Maxan cores are a glassy dark blue with a glowing dark red dot in the centre. They are shaped like a yin symbol.
-Fragments: Maxan fragments retain their electric blue colouring and texture, but become sodden and malleable like wet clay.

Inherent Abilities:
Maxan is rare in that it does not belong in any supernatural category. The only thing it can store is an electrical charge.

-Raw: Maxan has the ability to attract and instantly absorb electricity. When placed at the top of a tall building it can prevent stray lightning bolts from striking a city during a storm, and is a perfect for defending oneself against a defier with the ability to conjure lightning. It can store an almost limitless amount of electricity, and will never release it except into a Mixin well.

When it physically touches a Mixin well, all of the electrical charge stored within it is instantly transferred over to the Mixin well. However scientists have discover that by using a conductive intermediary, such as a metal wire, this charge can be easily passed back into the Maxan well. This makes Maxan and Mixin wells invaluable to Ensorcellors without access to domain magic, as the electrical charge allows them to refine other wells.

-Core: The cores of Maxan wells have exactly the same abilities as they do in their raw forms. They're just smaller.

-Fragments: Maxan fragments produce a form of magnetic field that pulls Mixin fragments within a 10 meter radius towards it. While not especially useful normally, this property can be easily transferred to other objects via alchemy.

Location and Rarity: Rubies of Revenge, or Black Harthytes as called by the Seekers, cannot ever be found naturally. They can only be created when someone who has lost a loved one transforms a regular Harthyte well into one.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: The shape of Ruby of Revenge is always curiously organ-like, complex and with a pitch black colour. Mages have noted the well has a 'heart beat' when touched and feels cold in the palm.
-Core: The core of Ruby of Revenge is a deep, tar black, heart shaped stone that absorbs light and is always cold to the touch.
-Fragments: Fragments are a faded grey.

Inherent Abilities:
Can store 4 Novice Aspects, 3 Competent Aspects, 2 Expert Aspects, or 1 Master aspect of any Domain Magic (or a proper combination of such, with Novice being .25, Competent .33, Expert .50, and Master being 1.0, with the maximum total being 1.0). A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use.

Rubies of Revenge can only be used by the person who transformed it from a Ruby of Love into its corrupted form. This is done when a person who has somehow lost the one they love holds a Ruby of Love, refined or otherwise, and feels the love they had for their partner, pain they feel over their loss, and the hatred they have for the exact person, or people, who took their loved one from them (or at least the ones they personally believe to be responsible.) Any living creature with a clear, defined identity is fine; one could hate a specific Immortal just as much as a specific human, but anything unspecific such as "all Aukari" would not work. Nobody has found a way to turn Rubies of Revenge back into Rubies of Love yet, though that does not necessarily mean that it is impossible to do so.

-Raw: The ruby will eternally guide its master towards the beings who stole their love from them, pulling them in the right direction with a cold sensation that runs across their skin. It also dulls their fatigue as they draw close to the target so that they feel strong enough to enact their revenge, and heightens their feelings of rage and obsession.

-Core: Any well that is refined through corrupted love via this well becomes bound to the original refiner, and any powers stored within in become extra effective against the beings who stole the owner's love from them.

-Fragments: Beats in the same rhythm as the heartbeat of the nearest target its master seeks vengeance upon.

Location and Rarity: Thief's Gold, also called Kleptite by the Seekers, is an uncommon well found in major fractures. It also has a strange habit of being found by criminals inside locked containers or among piles of treasure during heists, as if waiting for a worthy thief to come and claim it, despite the owners having never put it there.

Physical Description (of all 3 states):
-Raw: A golden, coined shaped material with a sparkly luster. It could easily be mistaken for a strange gold nel by someone not familiar with it.
-Core: A long, thin needle shaped gem of a silvery-green colour.
-Fragments: A mass of sparkly golden nuggets.

Inherent Abilities:
Thief's Gold can store 3 Novice Aspects or 2 Competent Aspects of any Domain Magic, (or a proper combination of such, with Novice being .33, Competent .50 with the maximum total being 1.0). A Domain Mage inherently can feel the different aspects, thus allowing them to choose which they want to use. These stored aspects are 1 time use, but more can be added after the first are used.

-Raw: When rolled across the ground, raw Thief's Gold will roll in the direction of the most expensive metals or gems within a 10 meter radius.[/u]

-Core: When touched against a non-living object with the mass of an elephant or less, the Kleptite will store that object within a small separate dimension. The next time it touches a non-living object it will release the object stored inside it. This does not work on non-solids or items affixed to the environment, such as locks or doors.

-Fragments: When a fragment is introduced to a flame it emits a very bright, very distracting golden light.
