Appearance

Aeon is a pretty boy, with a face like it was made just for him, seemingly perfect, as all of his features somehow feel so simple and fitting. His wavy blond hair surrounds his face, just barely reaching down his neck, as it covers his ears. His hazel like eyes appear to be sparkling most of the time, and it only adds to his constantly warm facial expression. He has thin lips which are most of the time stretched all the way across his face, forming a warm and honest smile. His figure isn't big, as he's just beneath the average in both height and weight, but it is still muscular, from all that he had done during the years of his life. This kind of body-type allows him to remain agile, and not need as much strength and stamina for all of his actions. Aeon has long and slim fingers, and arms which appear to be only skin and bone, much like his legs.
Aeon prefers wearing clothes that aren't tight, so he can remain agile and comfortable, though that doesn't mean he won't dress up from time to time, if he deems the situation as worthy.

Personality

Aeon feels obliged to help, whomever he can, whenever he can, and even when it is out of his capabilities, he still tries to help the best he can. Even though many see this a great virtue with him, in many situations, it can lead to Aeon ending up in extremely dangerous situations, or getting manipulated by those deceiving and lying folks. When he is unable to help a person, in any way, it's not only that he gets bummed, but he falls into a milder state of depression even, and he can go without eating or sleeping for several days because of this. Leading a hero's life isn't as easy as people think for some reason, because for every life Aeon saves, there is another he can not save.

No matter the situation, no matter the opponent, beatable or not, natural or not, Aeon would see yielding or running as betrayal to himself. Not under any circumstances will he give up, a fight, a quest, or anything at all, especially not something that needs to be done for the greater good. Even if the Sacred Seven themselves were to come down before him and tell him that he needs to yield, that he has no chances of winning, of succeeding, he wouldn't listen. Sometimes, a quest or battle started for the greater good can end up as a proof to how proud Aeon actually is, and at the end, even if surrendering, or fleeing would be the choice that would bring good to many, he will remain fighting, just because he won't let himself lose, because that would make his weak, that would make his helpless, and the reason Aeon fights is to never feel helpless.

Aeon believes on a radical level, that if someone gives their best, and constantly keep pushing their limits, nothing is impossible, any obstacle can be overcome, any enemy defeated, any beast tamed. He acts this way on a regular basis, as he has his goals set, and each day he keeps on pouring his heart and soul into achieving those goals more and more. This makes Aeon seem rather childish, but he doesn't understand that quite completely, nor does he want to. He is most definitely the "Go big or go home type", and he does most things with this policy, giving his best in the most absurd of actions, such as cleaning a room or riding around a city.

Aeon believes in good in all beings, it's just that the good is sometimes harder to find, and sometimes easier, he was thought to think this way since his earliest days, and in a dangerous world like Idalos, it can cost him a lot. Because of him being this naive, Aeon never really understood political business, nor spies, and he was often easily manipulated by the people that learned how the world truly works from their childhood. Even though he finds fights and challenges fun, he never wants to intentionally start a fight to the death, nor an actual fight where hatred rules between those fighting, but he is slowly learning that those fight just must exist, whether he wants them or not.

A fact Aeon is not very familiar with, but even though he fights his battles alone, he is still friendly and open to new relationships. He likes talking with people and socializing, and even though he may not be exactly the partying type, he can handle himself. When he becomes real friends with a person, Aeon becomes loyal to them, and would never abandon or sell them out, and he expects the same, which is another part of him being so naive. He would go to extreme measures to help a friend. While he doesn't have much, or perhaps even any experience in true romantic relationships, if he was to find one, it would be a relationship which Aeon wouldn't abandon, no matter what happens, and if he was abandoned, it would strike him hardly, and his recovery would be long and painful. He is very giving with his friends and partners, especially partners and there is no world in which Aeon would intentionally harm anyone that he cares about, or that cares about him

Immortals

Aeon views Immortals as selfish, cruel, manipulative beings who have no care about mortals. He believes they, without exception, use mortals as scapegoats or minions only to finish tasks too bloody, or too unimportant for them.

Magic

Aeon has a growing hatred towards magic, because he believes it is the worst part of the Immortals that got transfered into mortals who use magic. No matter which discipline, he doesn't trust it and believes that mages should be slain before they become a danger to both themselves and the world because of their corruption. He does not hate practices as much, but he is still suspicious of the dangers they carry with the things they can do.

Races

Don't judge a book by its cover is Aeon's motto on races. He has no prejudice towards any race, but cares more of how individuals within the race act. One and only exception for this would be the Naerikk, who he's grown to dislike, even though his mind can be changed about individual Naerikk.

Slavery

Aeon dislikes slavery in general, and would like for slaves to be freed, but if the slave in question has no desire to leave their master, he will accept that. Aeon does not treat slaves as objects, but as people, no matter how or why their master treats them.

Women

Not much can be said about this topic, as Aeon views women the same way he views men, except that he'd probably protect a woman over a man, as it's expected from a man to know how to protect himself, while that's not the case for women.
Backstory

Aeon was born to two farmers in Warrick, but unfortunately, his mother didn't live through his birth, so he was left with only a father. Even with only a father, Aeon managed to stay a happy child, actively playing with the animals, mostly horses, on the farm, and other children that lived close by. From his earliest days, he was a feisty kid, but his father somehow always knew how to calm him, and how to make him happy. The man was honorable, just, and courageous, even though he was only a mere horse farmer, and he taught his only child to be that way too. His name was Vincent. Vincent mourned his late wife long after she died, but he never let Aeon see him in pain, as that would've only caused pain to the boy as well, which was the last thing his father wanted. With a large farm, a young boy, no wife, and not much money, Vincent needed to straighten his priorities well if he wanted his child to be happy, and he did. Everything he did was only to give Aeon a good future, he worked all day, and many nights, only to have enough money for his kid. Aeon, later in his life, truly considered himself the kid with the best of fathers.

Aeon was raised to become a farmer, take over his father's estate, and have an average peasant-like life, which he never actually wanted. Like his father asked, Aeon went to school, and took an hour each day to work at the farm, and the rest of the time he would spend fighting with sticks with himself, or sometimes other children. From his earliest days, he wanted to become a Knight, and the sighting of a Jacadon rider on one nameless afternoon, when he knew what his goal in all of his life was. His father disapproved of this greatly, as one of his brothers tried to tame a Jacadon once, and he ended up losing an arm and barely surviving with the help of a Xiur Skyrider. Vincent told this to his kid, but it only inspired him even more, as now his goal was to not only be a Jacadon rider, but a Xiur one at that. His father honestly prayed to the Seven that it was just a faze and it would pass as Aeon grew up, and learned that he belong at the farm, taking care of horses, but it never did. The parts of his afternoons he didn't spend learning how to use a wooden longsword, he gazed upon the sky, constantly hoping to catch a glimpse of the dragon-like creature that amazed him. He rarely saw any Jacadons, perhaps five, maybe six, for all those hours he spent gazing. He imagined riding on his Jacadon, and how it would look, how the wind would flow through his golden hair, how amazing it would be to look down on his village, and wave at his father, and his friends. He never, not even once, thought about fear, as there was no time. If Aeon was to fear anything, he would be missing everything else, and that he didn't want. This fearlessness began to show in his work at the farm, as he started climbing up horses and riding them around, instead of grooming them, and feeding them. He may have gotten thrown of many times, over and over, but he never gave up, he would only climb back up and try again, and no matter how afraid his father was for his future, he couldn't not be proud of his son.

As he grew older, it was harder and harder for Aeon to remain in his fantasies, and he needed to do, and not just want things. Though as usual, he didn't need to do anything alone, anything he needed help with, his father helped him, even though he might not have been happy to do so. His father gifted him a magnificent longsword for his 14th birthday, and simply said 'If yer gonna go fightin' a war son, you might just do it right'. Aeon never knew that his father possessed that longsword, but after he received it, he heard a story of his great grandfather who was a knight, and wanted to leave his longsword for his children, but he only had a daughter, Aeon's grandmother, so the longsword was left for his grandchildren, but after Aeon's uncle lost his arm, the longsword remained with his father, who never had the intention of using it, much less giving it to his son. With his education coming to an end, Aeon started reading about the Jacadon, as he realized that soon would be time for him to actually go out there, and become a skyrider, but the books and the lore about the magnificent beasts was nothing like he thought it would be. Not even once did it mention 'taming', and instead of that the books said 'bonding', and 'finding a partner'. Aeon never before looked at it that way, he always thought of Jacadons like they were simple mounts, like horses, which you tame and then use. Those books opened his eyes, and he started viewing the Jacadons, and the skyriders that bonded with them, way differently, but it never changed his aspiration to become one of them, it only strengthened it, for some reason. He discussed his dreams with the kids he was playing with, and none of them shared the same views, yes, maybe some of them wanted to be knights, but none of them actually wanted to be skyriders, and Aeon was really bummed because of that. He always enjoyed the company of others, whatever he did, and not having anyone to talk to about his biggest dream was really disappointing. He still managed to go through it, because he still had many friends with whom he would practice swordfighting, and played knights and nobles, as well as those friends with whom he could always have fun on his father's farm, riding and handling horses.

As agreed, Aeon stayed the year after he finished his education, helping his father out on the farm. His father hoped every day more and more, that his son would forget all about his childhood fantasies, and give it up, but Aeon didn't, they just grew stronger inside of him, and he couldn't wait for the day when he would get his Volareon mount, or when he would go and bond with a Jacadon, or even better, ride his new partner, Jacadon. All of his dreams seemingly drowned for a time, as his father had fallen ill right before Aeon's 16th birthday. Aeon had fallen into depression because of the fear of losing his father, who meant everything to the teenager, and all he could day every day, was sit next to his father's bed, and pray that he got better. That was not what his father wanted from him though, the old man knew that he had no chance of surviving the illness, not without an expert doctor saving him, so all he could do was to try and convince his son to live his life to the fullest, to take care of the farm until he was to pass away, and then go and follow his dreams. Aeon couldn't bare the fact that he was going to lose his father, and that he was helpless to stop it. Although he listened to his father, and took care of the farm while the old man was in his deathbed, Aeon's thoughts weren't as bright, nor was he dreaming of the future anymore. He stalled everything he did out, to a point in which he would spend a brake, maybe even two, just feeding horses. He himself wasn't eating, not any more than his father at least, and he wasn't sleeping, because every night he spent next to his father. He fell in a state of depression, and it hit his father as well, and because of it, his illness hot worse. Aeon saw this, and instead of grieving even more, something inside of him clicked, and he remembered a thing his father told him every time Aeon felt sad because of his mother. 'The dead have enough sadness, son, the least we can do for them is not give them more, but be as happy as we can in our lives.' Aeon thought of this sentence every time he wanted to cry for his father, and the wheels inside him started spinning, to the point where he returned to an almost regular life, spending his days caring for the horses, and the farm, as good as he could. And somehow, one day, his father passed on, peacefully, in his sleep, and Aeon buried his other parent, and promised on his father's grave that he would not waste his own life mourning for a life that was already gone. That promise, of course, did not stop him from being sad from time to time, in the beginning even every day, but he just kept going. He kept going, and the more he took care of the farm, the more he practiced his fighting skills, leaving almost no time for a social life. He had still kept some friends from his childhood, but they were not as close as before the death of Aeon's father. Much more time than he expected had passed before he actually sold the farm, and moved on to become what he dreamed of. But he did, eventually, move to Andaris with the little he had and became an Airman for the Xiur Skyriders. Before he left the farm, he made sure that there were no things he had forgotten, and during his search for childhood memories, he found his father's journal, a small book containing his father's thoughts about different subjects, and different events in his life, and even though he hasn't read it yet, he intends to do so, once he is far enough from his death.

Abilities

Name Devotion Required Description
Bond (Minor) 0 The Favored can Bond with 1 other person. In doing so the Bonded individual gains a single glowing band around their left forearm. The Bond remains as long as both the Favored and the Bonded allow it. The Bond only functions within 300 feet of the Favored, and dissipates shortly beyond that distance.
Illustrious Skills 0 Add an extra three skill points to one of the following skills: Blades, Leadership, Discipline, or Endurance. Any skill points granted by this Mark can break the 100 point cap on skills.
Bound in Battle 0 The Favored and those Bonded with them are better able to fight together. Their tactics and movements flow almost seamlessly with little-to-no spoken communication. The Bond passes insights and slight thoughts between those Bonded while in combat together.

Don't run away from a challenge. Instead, run toward it, the only way to escape fear is to trample it beneath your feet and the more difficult the victory; the greater happiness in winning.

Personal NPCs
Connor Blake - 10gn/Season
Name: Connor Blake
Race: Mixed (Mortalborn/Human)
Date of Birth: 27th of Zi'da, arc 640
Skills: Alchemy - 60 (30+10+10+10), Dustforge - 15, Chemistry - 15, Construction - 15, Persuasion - 15, Intelligence - 10
Appearance: Connor is a relatively small man, standing at 5 feet and 7 inches, while weighing only 140 pounds. He carries an unusual and freaky appearance, as his face seems skeletal and his skin pale and malnourished. Both his hair and eyes are as dark as the night and show no soul inside his body. Covering his chin and lips is a beard way bigger than the amount of his hair, but just as black. His eyes often have bags underneath them, because of the countless night wasted by insomnia. Connor also has many small and unnoticeable tattoos, but one that strikes out the most would be a tattoo of a black dove on his left shoulder.
Personality: He is not much of a brave soul, as he is a reserved one, in the face of danger at least. Many consider him a coward for this, but the truth is, all Connor needs to be brave is a little motivation. A possibility of a great reward here, some loot to be had there, and this man is ready to face the worst of the worst. He enjoys all sins of life, including drinking and gambling his arse off, even though, somehow, he seems to take all the things that would usually affect his health rather well. His voice is rough, and his accent thick, as the Common language wasn't the first one he learned to speak. However, Connor is a man of words, not blades, and he'd rather fight his wars with a pen than a sword, if he is given the opportunity. He would always beat an opponent by whispering lies in their ear than cutting it off, which is what makes him the danger he is for most crime lords in the cities he worked in.
Relationship to PC: Currently acquaintances, future companions
Anything: 1 - As Connor is the grandson of Zanik, he appears far younger than what his real age is, even though he has no abilities a true Mortal Born may have. He is, unlike the children of Immortals, unable to live for centuries, but was only granted a limited number of arcs on top of a mortal life upon his birth. Doing magic decreases this lifespan.
2 - Connor is an associate of the Coven of Ellasin, and even though both himself and the members of the organization would deny this fact, his true loyalty is with the Necromantress, and she knows that.

Ariel
Ariel is a Scython-Ur kitten Aeon acquired in this thread, and is currently working on training her. She is tamed and playful when around her master, but will often be very aggressive towards anyone else. Her fur is yellowish, and is beginning to carry brownish spots all over it. Her fangs are still small, but are considerably larger than any of her other teeth. She is still incapable of hunting by herself so Aeon is required to feed her daily.

Tor
Tor, or Protector, is an adult Sohr Khal Aeon acquired in this thread. Tor's body is noodle-like and colored in white and red while his wingspan is just over twenty-four feet long. Protector elected to follow Aeon after the young swordsman ended a Scalv Ziemia and is extremely loyal and intelligent, often doing what's best for him and his master without even being commanded to. He is willing to carry others on his back, but will not fly without his master. Tor only has 3 paws on his legs due to a Drexion biting off one of them.

Thing about being brave is that it doesn't come in the absence of fear and hurt. Bravery is the ability to look fear and hurt in the face and say; 'Move aside, you're in the way'
