Appearance

As a 22 year old man, Gotz is of average height, with an average built that is neither too strong nor too weak, though he had worked out enough times to gain a bit of muscle. His skin is mostly white and he sports fairly long black hair, enough to create makeshift spiky hair by just using his comb. His face is normally stoic or curious, but when it comes to fighting his expression would twist into a serious, albeit a sadistic look.
Personality

Gotz is mostly silent, and only speaks if necessary or he feels like it. He is indifferent to his surroundings and the people around him. In a troubling situation though, he is careful and calm, threading present threats lightly to avoid himself from being overconfident to confront them foolishly.

Even though Gotz is normally in good terms with people, he is a loner, owing to his belief that making true friends is next to impossible unless he himself is a special person. To him, a true friend is someone that not only understands and actually likes him regardless of interest or beliefs, but if they can, they would at least try to help whatever trouble he is in should he require their assistance. A true friend to him is also someone that isn't shallow like some of the nobles of Rynmere.

Another factor of his loneliness is himself not being confident to try to advance a relationship in fear of either fucking up said relations by accident or the person turning their back to him.

Gotz's lack of social skills are compensated with a persona that hides deep within his heart, only appearing in fights or intentional assaults against anybody. A streak of sadism is all he has whenever he commits violence, be it with his own bare hands or a sword. His philosophy of mercy being non-existent applies to monsters and human enemies that have no possibility of redeeming themselves in his eyes. Gotz's sadistic alter ego can escalate to levels of violence to the point where he kills them like robots.

Gotz doesn't really have much faith for the Immortals despite hearing some of their stories and what they are in this world. He just choose to be so for a personal reason.
History

The son of a mercenary that sold his services to Andaris's baron, Benji Andaris, Gotz Hidetora spends his childhood in the midtown part of Andaris. He never really hated his parents, but he was upset that both his father and his mother, who was a belly dancer, were always busy with their respective jobs. At school, he was no more than an average student and only had a few friends due to his shyness. Even though he can read and write, he was more interested in the stories of the Immortals, knights, weapons and armor, the Iron Hand and war in general.

As he grows into a teen and his friends left him for people they actually enjoy hanging out with, Gotz cared less for school, and spent more time in swordplay, learning to cook simple meals and even hunting and trapping with the help of his rich uncle. Though he enjoys these activities that are useful for himself, this enjoyment was cut short by his decision as an 18-year old to help his dad fighting and driving off an infamous group of robber knights known for donning colorfully painted leather armor, half or full. Long story short, Gotz and his dad's party won the battle, but at the cost of an unforgiving and visceral final fight and his father being unexpectedly killed by a lancer that threw his own short lance through his head.

As a result, Gotz became depressed, even when he was compensated with money by the baron out of pity. That was large enough to properly support himself and his mom, who suffered the same thing. At the age of 20, he lived with his uncle to hone a bit more of his swordplay and hunting skills for a little longer before returning to his mom.

Time passes, and as he was close to the age of 22, something happened between his mom and himself. Something that he questioned himself whether it was enjoyable or just plain wrong. The night before he moved out to his new house which was purchased by his uncle, his mom, perhaps missing her husband too much, came to his room, exposing her abdomen, belly danced for him, and eventually gave him his first kiss on the lips before she proceeded to have her way with him like a wife. Throughout this whole thing he tried to tell her to stop, but eventually gave up halfway as she was getting aggressive, not wanting to made her angrier.

Despite wanting to stay with her son a bit longer, she willingly lets him go, for money was dwindling, and it probably wasn't long before supporting oneself is the only way to survive. Receiving her last passionate kiss, Gotz then leaves with his most important belongings, giving her one last forlorn, but hopeful look before leaving his nest to start anew for himself.

If there is ever one dream he has in his mind, it is to join the Iron Hand someday. Gotz promises himself to be part of his favorite faction when he feels ready to be at their service.

Knowledge

(1) Blades (Longsword): Slashing and stabbing are common moves that should be known to all fighters. Luckily you know the basics of these attacks and should take down an unarmored or partially armored foe with ease.

(2) Hunting: You memorize the shapes of the tracks of different animals, as well as their feeding signs and habits to track down and eventually found them easily.

Patience: The key to a successful hunt. Unless you are as hungry as a wendigo craving for flesh, it is best to wait for an animal to relax and having its guard down. Then sneak up to it for the kill.

(1) Trap making: You gain the knowledge of making simple traps like small deadfalls and snare loops, as well as a leaf-disguised pitfall suitable for a deer or boar.

(1) Cooking: You grasp on the basic skill of preparing food such as chopping, dicing, mixing, and so on. You also learned to roast meat over a fire, but always result in a slightly charred, but edible food.

(1) Shields (Heater): Blocking is not the only function of a shield. You also love to use it as a secondary weapon by bashing it against people's faces.

(1) Field Craft: Surviving on Hunting Trips: You are able to pin down the basic essentials of surviving in the wild: food, water and shelter. Aside from meeting your needs, you are also aware of the dangers presented by creatures present around you. You usually avoid them unless they are clearly trying to rip out your guts, in which case you have to defend yourself.

Items

Hidetora's Sword (Prized Possession) (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2080/ ... 1518648785)
A longsword sharp enough to cut off limbs or even a head. Good to block attacks with, but it is best to use a shield or wear at least plate armor to ensure that the blade doesn't get damage by clashing against other weapons. Your father held this sword in high regard as this was a gift from the local baron as a reward to his service and outstanding work. Take very good care of it, and it will help you in fights. Normal quality.

Andaris Heater Shield (https://sep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-8749146050 ... teel-2.gif)
A steel heater shield adorning the dragon of Andaris on its surface. Silver in color. Good in quality as it provides very good protection from most melee and projectile attacks. Its protection may or may not work much from elemental attacks such as fire or ice. Unless you want to experiment in such a fight, it's best to rely on your agility instead.

Combat Knife
A standard combat knife of normal quality. Mainly used for close quarters combat, but as for your case, it can be used to cut or peel vegetables and fruits. Or even better, it can be used to skin, gut and butcher animals. Keep the knife sharp and clean to avoid the field dressing process from being messy. Alternatively, you can finish off an animal with the knife itself.

One set of clothing
Your generic set of civilian clothing. Comes with a shirt, pants, cloak, undergarments and a pair of boots. Best worn only when outside if living alone, No one except ghosts would see your nude humanoid body.

One set of toiletries
A bunch of hygienic items to clean and tidy yourself up. Consists of a toothbrush, white toothpaste, soap, razor and comb.

Waterskin
A leather waterskin that bends to one side. Carries plenty of water and keeping it cool even when travelling under the hot sun. Can also be used as an improvised contained to carry some small solid objects or fluid other than water.

Two utensils
A metal fork and spoon to pick up food with while eating.

Tinderbox
A small tinderbox containing flint, firesteel and tinder to start a fire in a campfire or whatnot. Best used in non combat situations due to the time taken to use it effectively.

Two light ropes
A rope that is 3 feet long. Mainly used for tying purposes.

Hatchet (Axe)
A hatchet with an axeblade that is is sharp enough to cut wood or behead somebody in case your main weapon is disarmed in combat. Keep it clean and sharp so it can remain itself as a useful wood-chopping too.

Large bag
A bag large enough to carry numerous items.

Small cast iron pot
A cast iron pot mainly used for cooking. Very valuable as cooking items since it has the ability to retain heat evenly and possesses high durability. Small enough to fit in a few ingredients and hold a decent volume of water.

Large shovel
A shovel strong enough to dig a pit or a grave. Can maybe double as a weapon, but not recommended as it isn't really sharp enough to outright kill a foe.

Tent (one person)
A triangular tent that is large enough to sleep one person.

Soup spoon
A spoon with a large or rounded bowl to scoop up soup or stew.

Two sweet potatoes
The sweet and orange variation of the potato family. Can be eaten raw or cooked. Wash first prior to raw consumption or cooking.
