Name: Ghost Metal
Type of Material: Metal
How To Gather: Mining
Skill Level/Skills Needed: Mining - 70, Smithing - 80
Rarity: Rare
Durability: Medium
Estimated Price: 200gn per ingot
Native to: Areas of high Wisp, Spirit, and paranormal activity.
Information: Ghost metal is a kind of material that is grown deep within the soil around areas of highly active spiritual or Wisp activity. Ghost metal has a special property that manifests within the material as it grows, almost like a crystal, out from the dirt below. The metal attracts essence to it and, instead of absorbing it, the material amplifies the energies carried among spirits. It makes them stronger, more vivid and tangible, and allows degenerated spirits to regain a bit of their wholeness.
Ghost metal attracts paranormal activity to any who adorn the element. It does not give the bearer foresight or any gifts to see the spirits attempting to interact with them or the metal, however, odd and sometimes frightful events may transpire around this material.
This metal is tangible to both the living and the dead. It may be mined, harvested, and sold for a pricey gold nel, especially to those who have passed but wish to retain some form of physical touch with the world they once knew. Mining the element is fairly easy, however, don’t be surprised if “invisible foes” attempt to stop you from uprooting it. It doesn’t take much to break apart and is fairly light weight with a sort of purple glow. The metal tends to emit a steam-like appearance from it as well. This ethereal look is carried with the metal through the smithing process so that even when shaped into various forms, it still emits a “ghostly” look.
Ghost metal doesn’t require much heat to mold it into shape, though it does require an experienced hand to keep it from breaking.
