Zerfins

The Zerfins are deadly creatures, usually camping or resting around large cities. These ghost like creatures, being kept alive by devouring human souls as a replacment for their own. The soul fading away. They have a contant diet ad mostly prefer human souls.

Looks: A Zerfin is a Monster who lives on land and chained to their regrets. Similar to ghost. They wear masks, which are mostly comprised of their emotional states based on colors. Green: Happiness, Blue: Sadness, and Red: Anger/Wrath.

Damage: Zerfins cause damage by whispering deep secrets and making their prey delusional. Although Zerfins can only create few delusions up to four. They live in groups, The larger the group the more realistic the Crisis becomes. Although they might not be able to posses anybody they can go through items.

Groups: Zerfins live up to groups of 3 -5. Which is made up of two families that keep spreading until the maxamime 5 as they can no longer hunt enough each day to feed everyone.

Diet: Zerfins main diet requires souls. The souls powering their own, so they don't fade into nothing dropping their masks.

Rarity: Although Zerfins live in large groups there's only really been two groups found. As Zerfins can't reproduce, as they have no body to do such with.

Where did they come from?: Zerfins were a mistake caused by untrained mages, who experimented with masks. Commonly found in ruins, as the Zerfins have ruined many villages over the span of a few nights. The ones creating them trying to kill them without proper knowlege. Only killing a few.

Weaknesses: They can't go through water or fire. They are only able to fly 10 feet above the ground, as they are not powerfull enough to carry their masks which contains their souls), higher.

Other than this information provided by a late scientist who had managed to capture the creature before it's friend came back and ate his soul.
