[Doran]

Thread: On the Trail of Cassion's Trial
Type of Forged: Iceforged
Participants: Doran
Brief description of thread: Doran continues to work on Qylios' task and uncover the mysteries surrounding Enri Von Smooglenuff. He visits the library and researches Cassion's Trial. He finds out that Cassion visits Scalvoris Town for Cassion's Trial. When he asks Rose, the librarian, if she's ever met Cassion, she tells him that there is a handsome man that comes to the library every arc. He always looks a little different. She thinks that Cassion visits the library in disguise.

Furthermore, Doran finds a story about Enri's travels on a pirate ship which further cements his conviction that Enri accompanied the Pirate Lords for a time.

Lastly, Doran researches the traditions and folk talkes of Scalvoris. He learns the story of Leopo and the story of The Blue Beachcomber, the Blue Maiden and the Blue Sands, among other things, and wonders if Enri himself wrote some of those stories and took them to the library for Cassion's Trial.

Enri seems to have a penchant for anagrams and secret codes, but Doran considers it possible that he published some of the books under a pseudonym that doesn't have anything to do with his real name.

Rather than simply researching how Enri was involved, Doran decides to try and find Enri himself and talk to him.

Their reason for joining the Songforged: He wants to help Scalvoris, and has spent a good amount of time in Sweetwine trying to help turtles. He also wants to seek the Induk's wisdom regarding the chaos inside of him.

The Forging kicked off plot hook missions that link back to certain elements of the Forging event. Elisabeth has been tasked with finding a way of honoring and remembering the victims of the entire series of events. I feel that perhaps the Induks would feel that mission important as well, now with their ties to the Immortals and mortals.

	Agreed, the Induks would find that mission important - so when she does stuff with it (creates a memorial etc) then that may well attract points. But the finding out, while necessary, won't do so. Make sense? When you get to the "doing something with it" bit, then include these as how she did it - but the Induk won't reward until it's acted on.

Haven is in a precarious position where it was located. Elisabeth worked with the settlers, weighing the dangers of staying with the Badlands on one side of them and almost completely isolated. I would make the case that moving the settlement was in the best interests of the settlers and therefore 'protecting' them from a bad situation, although Elisabeth made that decision w/ the settlers.

	Noted, but I don't think this would get points - the reason being that Faldrass was quite happy with them where they were (cos Faldrass isn't really concerned about infrastructure / isolation) - and while this is in the best interest of the settlers, it's not really protecting them at all.

The farm is vital to the identity and well-being of the Haven settlers. Feeding people is important, but it's a process. For Elisabeth to know how best to help the people of Haven, she had to get to know them and find out what the settlements needs are, which she did in the first thread.

I feel mean saying no to three things in a row, I'm sorry! I think the thing that's hitting me is that this is planning, not yet doing. When it's doing, then it might attract points, if that makes sense? Induks are about doing - so the conclusion of things. Building the farm itself will be something that does help the settlers, because they'd starve without food. Yet, the clam farm and the research outpost wouldn't get forged points, because they're good things, but not really the sort of "earthy" / spirit thing. Think practical actions which lead to notable changes. Keep putting up things, though, if you're at all unsure!

The leadership change between Elisabeth and Balthazar was done out of thread, so I'm using this thread to claim. Elisabeth accepting the leadership role of the somewhat precarious Haven could be seen as protecting them. I would think Faldrass would be especially interested in the leaders of the settlement since he had a hand in the initial request to Balthazar and Darius.

Participants: Doran
Brief description of threads: Doran works on Qylios‘ task and tries to uncover the mysteries surrounding Enri von Smooglenuff. Rather than simply researching how he was involved in the events surrounding the Forging, Doran decides to try and find Enri von Smooglenuff himself and ask him for answers.

At the Scholar’s Nook, he learns about Baron Rodrigues’ murder mysteries and the stories he took there for Cassion’s Trial and reads stories about Enri’s heroic deeds. Enri defeated monsters with wit and cunning.

At the library, he talks to Rose. He finds a story about Enri’s travels on a pirate ship which makes him wonder about his connection to the Pirate Lords and his cousin, the Warden. From Rose, he learns that Cassion might visit the library in disguise every arc on Cassion’s Trial.

From Stan, the head priest at the Glass Temple, he gets a diary of Enri’s daughter Xaria – and suspects that Enri stopped being Baron because he wanted to give his children a chance and because he wanted to go on adventures, although he would never stop caring about the island. He also finds out that a man who might very well have been Enri visited the Glass Temple regularly for several arcs in a row.

This convinces him that Enri is indeed still alive.

Make your case! If you're protecting or saving Scalvorians or Scalvoris in some way, great! But if not - how does it impact the Induks? How is it impactful?: Enri von Smooglenuff is a hero and an important figure in Scalvoris' history that likely helped the island numerous times. His descendants and he played an important part throughout the centuries. And besides, Doran was given the task of finding out how Enri was involved in the events in question following the Forging. In my opinion, the Induks would likely consider Qylios' task as well as Doran's research - and his plan to find Enri himself - important.
