Ela took the small cloth in her hand as she sat and wiped her face, still controlling her breathing as best she could. It wasn't like the girl had discipline, far from it. But the power that had taken over almost felt like another entity, one that backed away when Ela refused to relieve her own body to it. Some foreign being tried to force itself in to her mind, to make her more violent than she had been in a long time. Her eyes had gone red, her instinct for blood kicking in ten times what it used to be. Ela had been gone for just that split trill, and something else had taken over. Not someone - something.
"An anger based power? Is that even possible? I already have my blood lust" she said, her eyes glancing to her sister as if wide with fear. It was unlike Ela to let herself lose control to that extreme, it was even less common for her to feel genuine terror. This had been a day where she felt both. If an anger based power happened in a place like Rynmere, or even her home - nobody would be safe. Not even her. She knew how much pent up rage was inside of her. If she let herself lose control to that, death would follow her everywhere she went.

"He just...implied things. Normally I'd snarl, maybe spit at his feet. But this thing told me to lash out, and before I knew it I was listening to her music" she said, gesturing to Valeria without making eye contact. Right now she needed to be away from it all and seeing the woman that had been there when she tore a man apart wasn't going to help that situation, not in the slightest.
Ela then moved down beside Phelan, playfully brushing the wolfs fur to take her mind off of the stress. While it wasn't her familiar, she had grown up around him, fallen in love with him and welcomed him as part of the family. Phelan was as much the girls brother as Kura was her sister, and to make that closer he was an animal, something she saw in herself too. Both had human features that others did too, but she saw herself on the same level as the wolf. Both were equally feral and yet able to remain tame. Most of the time.

"Please, Kura. I'm fine. I promise" she muttered, kissing in to the fur of the wolf before sitting on the floor. "Forgive me, Valeria Burhan. For what you saw today. It....isn't a common occurrence.""

When Ela asked about a rage based power, Kura nodded. "Aye, it's possible. In fact, a proclivity towards them runs in the family." she said, grimacing slightly. She could tell Valeria was getting more and more nervous, though, and she figured it would be a good idea to re-assure the woman. "Don't worry, he's not going to be aggressive with you." she said, as Ela sat down next to the wolf. Phelan for his part, crawled out from under the bed and took it upon himself to start tongue bathing Ela, licking the blood off her face and hands. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything she could do to help Ela with her powers growing, just as there hadn't been anything anyone could have done for Kura when her own powers were growing.

At Valeria's squeak, Kura smiled slightly and sat down. "No, of course he won't. I give you word, none here will harm you." she said, her tone serious. "The sort of thing you saw in the market, it doesn't happen ordinarily. Divine powers, however, are not things that tend to wait on convenience, especially those gifted born of Karem. She is the Immortal of the Wild, after all, and the Wild does as it wills. Now that we're aware of it, though, Ela will be able to keep it under control." she said, her tone genial.

"But as to my question, I've heard rumors of some trouble in Rynmere, but I haven't been able to get full details. Most of my correspondence has been with government officials, and such tend to be reticent about any kind of problems in their lands. An understandable practice, but not exactly informative." she said, her tone a mixture of politeness and amusement. "I was hoping you could fill me in on what's been happening in Rynmere lately."
