Dosan had received a summons to a noble's house, Madame' Vivian Sheeran to be exact. He was referred to her by his beloved Duke, as she had a request only he could handle. A chance to kill was more than enough to gain the ire of the viper, as he was in his element when it came to murder. What bothered him, however, was the lack of information given to him. He didn't like walking in blind to any situation, not while his mother was still plotting his own demise. He was living life paranoid, waiting for his mother to strike. It was something he took from her, the art of subtle mind games to keep your prey on edge, making them careless and prone to mistakes.

All you need to know is that a pest has been bothering me for quite some time now, and I'm at my wit's end. Lord Detlev says you are the perfect remedy to my situation, so the fewer questions you ask, the better. I am paying you after all.

It was nobles like her that left a sour taste in his mouth about the nobility of the city as a whole. The only good one among them being his master and employer. Approaching the Sheeran Chateau, Dosan checked his inventory, making sure his claw grieves were secure to his person, and counting the amount of throwing knives he had on hand. Approaching the gate he was met by the armed warriors in service of the Lady noble, which to his surprise were women. He was amazed at the beauty the held. He flashed a charming smile at the woman and explained he was requested by the lady of the house. After enduring an extensive pat down he was escorted to a massive and beautifully adorned stone garden beyond the home where the lady of the house was waiting.

The noblewoman turned as Dosan approached, delighted as if she had met King Arkenstone himself. Ahh splendid, splendid. I'm so glad you have arrived, and not a moment too soon. The Duke said you could handle this matter in a discreet and quiet manner. she chimed, her eyes scrutinizing the young viper over.
"I assure you, your grace, I'm more than capable of handling your issue as discreetly as possible."
he assured, bowing as a sign of respect to her, before rising. And you better, I spared no expense in hiring you to deal with this pest. she said, motioning him to follow her out into the stone garden.

Follwoing her he was enraptured by the sheer opulence of the garden alone. Filled with strange sculptures, and patterns as well as a large fountain. the sound of the babbling of the fountain was peaceful to the serpent, and as they reached the center of the garden, the woman stopped, her head hanging low. This garden is my favorite spot to come and relax, allow my stress to melt away in the tranquility of it all. I use to come here when I was a little girl and get lost in the beauty of it all. About a week ago, however, I was attacked by this pest, and ever since then, I've been terrified to come out here. She explained, pausing to sit on the edge of the fountain. I order you to kill this..... She began, but as she spoke she was cut off by the squawking of a winged creature. Shrills of horror left her mouth as she ran to hide behind the viper, who was standing there, unamused by it all.

"You must be joking, this is your pest your grace? A bird?"
his annoyance had begun to surface, his almond-shaped eyes trying to keep up with the avian as it flies by. Peering behind himself he saw the woman cowering in fear but noticed the healed scratches and cuts on her neck and chest. Maybe this bird was more vicious than he estimated. Putting his eyes back onto the bird, he studied it, as it stared back at him. Lady Sheeran's armed escort arrived and would take her inside, one of the female guards telling Dosan to make it quick. He nodded as they left, and now it was just him and the bird, a staredown between the two.

Pulling a dagger from within his coat jacket, he tossed it into the air, catching it as he examined the bird before him. he matched the head tilts the creature did, trying to learn the movements of the creature, then taking aim, chucked it at the avian. the instinctively dodged the incoming blade, darting straight for the viper, talons out cutting him on the face as it went by.
"Fucking shit"
he cussed, prepping another dagger in both hands looking for the bird and where it could have gone. He could hear the flapping the wings and was scanning the sculptures and large stones within the area for his prey. His head on a swivel he would look for any sign of movement, tossing daggers at what he thought to be the bird.

A break into the job, Dosan now covered in several cuts along his face and hands, was very angry and even more anxious to get this done and over with. At this point, the bird was now toying with him. Counting the indentions on his jacket, he only had 3 more daggers to use. He would have to come up with another plan once they were gone. Coming from out from behind a statue to his right, the eerie looking bird came barreling at Dosan, pecking at his arms and face. The viper was enduring what he could, using the daggers as a means to defend himself. Luckily for him, one of the blades clipped the malicious foul and caused it to struggle away. It didn't get far, however, as the damage to its wing was throwing its ability to fly off. Dosan approached the mystical looking bird as it thrashed and squawked about. His almond eyes peered down in interest and annoyance. He felt bad for it, watching as its these moments in its final hour where filled with agony, at least he thought as much. Reaching behind himself, he slipped his hand into one of the claw grieves hooked to his waist.
"Descanse em paz criatura do mal{rest in peace evil creature}"
He said pinning the creature to the garden landscape with the talon. The squawking ceased, along with any sign of the bird struggling to regain any form of flight.

Walking up to the chateau, the noblewoman was there, gleefully cheerful and bright-eyed. I take it you have handled my situation young man? Dosan smiled, and held the dead avian by the neck, showing its lifeless body as proof.
"Indeed I have, now lets talk payment."
the both of them giggled, and her grace called for one of her servants to bring forth his payment. 50 Gold nels should be more than enough for a job well done? She said with a smile, motioning for Dosan to take it, but instead, he shook his head.
"Humor me, but I don't think that is enough for what I've done. Instead, I want 150 gold nel for my services."
lady Sheeran's brow raised as she stepped closer, cupping his face in her hands, a deadly gaze meeting his viper eyes. And what makes you believe you deserve that insane amount of money young man? he smiled, swatting her hand away from his face, which caused the armed woman around her to react with the sound of metal being released from its holdings. She waved for them to stand down, eager to hear his response.

"I just think that what I've done garners more consideration. 50 for killing the bird, 50 for the service I provided, and 50 for keeping my mouth shut about an embarrassing circumstance you were dealing with your grace."
he proposed, his eyes cutting into the noblewoman as her same deadly eyes returned the same look. she smiled, and with a snap of her fingers, her servant left. A few moments later they returned with the requested amount and was put in Dosan's hands. If I didn't fear your employer I would have your entrails splayed across my garden and use you from compost. But I adore your savviness and can respect someone with the potential for the game. Take your payment and go, and breath not a word of this to anyone viper. she hissed, to which Dosan gladly took his money and raised the hand with the dead bird in it into the air.
"It was truly a pleasure doing business with you your grace, hope to see you around sometime, and I'm taking this as a trophy."
he said, indicating he was talking about the bird he was holding.㊪

Notes:
I really enjoyed the concept of this, but thought the execution was off in a few places. First of all, when it comes to dialogue, I'd recommend using the speech marks, not underlining text. Makes it much easier to follow, and looks more... professional, shall we say? Secondly, at a rank novice with Throwing Knives, you shouldn't have even been able to do THAT, but I'll overlook this for the time being. Just remember, ALWAYS play within your rank limits. Thirdly, I always use the rule that 1 gold nel = $20, which has done me well. So, a thousand bucks for some minor blackmail and even more minor bird-killing is a pretty good rate.

Finally, I was on the fence about whether or not to double your potential pay, for something that... really didn't make much sense. Having a pest that needs killing is hardly "an embarrassing circumstance". And the fact she contracted an outsider rather than use one of her own armed guards makes it stranger. Now, we'll say that because of Doran's employer and The Lady's sheer amusement in his unmitigated gall, she'll pay up this time. But don't push it again, not on those grounds, because she'll be as likely to just kill you for the insult.

Aside from that... it was good! The fight was brisk but oddly believable, and the set up was equally amusing. He really didn't know until he got there and then...
