Anyone looking for work must apply through the proper channels

Sirothelle rests near the Heart of the World, one of the largest active volcano known in Idalos. Within the walls of this city resides the Aukarians, a race known for its treachery and murderous intent. Stone is a main component in the construction of most of the buildings in this city as the Aukari have a habit of burning down towns with their fire. Almost everything is made of stone, even their house, room, and beds. Most travelers do not come here, whether out of fear, hatred, or both. If an adventurer had the courage to step foot within Sirothelle, they can expect not to be greeted kindly, if at all.

The Centre for Employment

Located a few doors along from the seat of the Council of Seven, Sirothelle’s employment agency is the best place for anyone who is new to the city and is in need of direction in terms of employment. Normally, an aukari will remain in their field once they have graduated from the Reyula or Oikeia, however there is always the chance for betterment in Sirothelle, or even downgrading if the work is not up to scratch. The Centre for Employent, therefore, sees a regular stream of people using their services. It is the only way in the city to gain employment - one cannot just enter a shop and ask for a job, it has to be done through the official channels in this building. All businesses, private or public, will use the office to find new employees, or to fire one. There is nothing this office doesn’t know about the careers of all citizens.

All who enter the building will see a single desk, behind which an aged gentleman sits, ready to answer any questions and assist all in finding employment appropriate to the individual skills. Before people reach the man, however, they will see a large stack of papers on a table to the right upon entry. This is a form to be filled in regarding previous experience and schooling, as well as relevant skills and the option to select a first choice location of employment. Sometimes this last request is ignored.

A strong believer in the mission of Faldrun (and, by extention, the aukari), Jensen will go to any lengths to ensure the continuation of th way of life in Sirothelle. He believes that every member of society should contribute and will go as far as to invent jobs to make sure everyone is working towards the same goal. He is a highly intelligent man and is very adept at placing people in work appropriate to their station. Working quickly, one can expect to be in work within 4 trials of their application, if not sooner.

It felt odd honestly, being alone as she looked for the employment building. Kyeran had given her the general directions, but she kept taking the wrong turns. It took her nearly an entire break to find herself standing in front of the stone building. Redheaded Aukarians came in and out of the doors, and as far as Liarra could see, she was perhaps the only foreigner around. Meanwhile, Kyeran was back in their inn doing who knows what. He told her he rather not travel in the open streets just yet, worrying that someone might recognize him. The Aukarian still was not entirely ready to announce his return to his home city. Which was somewhat understandable.

As soon as she stepped in, the young woman followed the man in front of her and filled a form.
Form
Name: Liarra Picine
Race: Naerrik
Previous Schooling: None
Previous Experience: Has been a mercenary for the past year. Currently working for a traveling merchant.
Relevant Skills: Blades: Dao Sword (Competent), Endurance, Strength, Stealth
Preferred Employment: Mercenary
Once she was done, she hesitated. She was not scared precisely – her mark of Audrev made it very difficult to be overtaken by fear. She felt out of place, like she was missing something. This was a reminder that soon Liarra would be by herself.

Shaking the thought away, Liarra smiled at the man behind the desk and handed in her form.

As the next hopeful approached the desk, filled out form in hand, Jensen's eyes narrowed a tad as he stretched out his hand to accept the form from the woman. Taking it, he continued to stare at her for a moment, and was pleasantly surprised by the girl's calm confidence as she held his gaze. Inwardly, the contractor's respect for her grew, but he never showed that on his features. It took him only a few moments to skim through the form.

"You are already in the employ of this merchant?" he asked softly, raising his vermillion gaze back to the woman. When she gave the affirmative answer, Jensen nodded in response and proceeded to file the form away. "Your current contract with the merchant will be honoured by Sirothelle, for the duration of your stay and any subsequent visits to the city." A small wrist wave indicated that she was dismissed so that the next in line could submit their employment request. "Good luck."
