Etzos, ‘The City of Stones’ is a fortress against the encroachment of Immortal domination of Idalos. Founded on the backs of mortals driven to seek their own destiny independent of the Immortals, the city has carved itself out of the very rock of the land. Scourged by terrible wars of extermination, they've begun to grow again, and with an eye toward expansion, optimism is on the rise.

So, one of the things that has changed in the new site is that the new PSF is visible to everyone. This provides us an opportunity and so, this morning I've created some subforums in there - for completed / approved threads....

Woodlands outside Etzos
His hands were a mess. Sometimes, to get what you needed, you needed to get a little messy. Of course this mess was much more manageable than his usual. The darkness of Cylus had settled in...
It seemed that poor old Blob had finally perished.
As Paplo loomed over his corpse, a noisy finger came forth, poking the male’s backside in hopes of getting any sort of response – which, of course, did not come. What had once been a smiling old man was now...

12th Break
Tirta stepped out of the portal that one of Vuda's men had created for them to get back to Foster's Landing. She was dressed in her white crop top and parachute pants with her cutlass draped by the bit of rope at her...
It was an unfortunate truth of leadership that there would always be those who fought against whomever was on top of things. It was difficult to tell whether or not it was simply the nature of the mortal races to detest the idea of...
The teacher had forgotten how difficult is to traverse these woods. It had been far too long since he had entered them, the last time being with Marrow in his quest for revenge. The teacher’s refined manners and graceful motions, as well as the excellent suit he donned, did not...
Sat in the small building under the ground, Ryder let out a small sigh, looking down at a knuckle duster. As focused as he seemed on his weapon, his head was in other places as some of the other Mercenary's laughed and talked, while...
It still held as many stone walls and buildings, as many sour-faced people, as many crooked Black Guard, and very few worshippers of the Immortals. That last bit might just be Etzos’ only merit, though...
It hurt. It wasn’t a first nor would it be a last but the pain never lessened or dulled with repetition. A wound that didn’t scar. Memories that struck like a hammer on an ingot forcing it into shape. He didn’t like thinking about it. It was why he worked so hard if he...
There were a remarkable number of similarities between the differing armies of Idalos, but Noth supposed that it took at least some research to begin to notice them. Each army had suffered defeats, and had conquered enemies, none had...

28th of Cylus, 718
Ivanthe should have been afraid. That was the general impression he’d gotten from the old dockworker couple, who had been quietly insistent that he stay longer than the coin had paid for. They had the...
The half-breed indulged nothing but the utmost silence as she worked, her hand graceful if not a little shaky as she worked. She hummed to herself quietly on occasion as the watching the lines of ink leaking into the paper and staining it was the markings that were so familiar to...
Cylus was always cold, but tonight felt as if the cold was alive and trying to tear apart the men. All of the mercenaries had come equipped with their warmest clothes in a futile attempt to prepare for the cold, but it was no use....
The girl breathed in slowly as she watched the other children, her young form was ragged as the warm spring sun cast upon her and the flowers. She was surrounded by the vibrant flora, drawing beautiful similarities and differences between the raggedly dressed half-breed, her short...
The screech that she gave was nothing short of blood-curdling and she flung her body off the cliff was a form of vehemence that was almost murderous. Her wings spread and with violent pumps, she forced her body to stay aloft. Her screams became no quieter as her wing beats used...
Two breaks after leaving the Inn, the Mortalborn found himself in the thick of the crowd, surfing left and right with the movement of customers storming the Ctizen’s Market stalls. A cold sun blazed from above intermittently, sometimes hidden behind thick grey clouds that...
With all the mortals he had gotten the chance to speak about the subject, and from those that cared to actually respond, Paplo had gathered that following someone was amongst the worst tasks. Except for mercenaries that got paid by the break, which were very rare to find, nobody wanted to waste...
Neronin had discovered a subtle shift in himself concerning one of his sparks. It had been perhaps his most chaotic element of magic. The Rupturing spark. Neronin had meant to Blink across...
Neronin peered around the corner in the darkness. He could just hear their muffled voices and make out the dark outlines of their forms down the slightly winding alley between the massive Etzos wall and the wooden warehouse. The sun had gone down about a...
This isn't normally the kind of job that I take, but if you speak the truth then it seems like I have no other option. Actions like these are unacceptable, the woman said as her wings slowly curled around her body. The story that had been told to her by the pair of men sent chills...
She could feel a deep-rooted agitation churning in her stomach. The fire came up to lick at the back of her throat, threatening to spew out in curses and wrath if this conversation continued on any longer. It wasn't the typical kind of conversation allowed by The Overlord, but he...
That was the excuse F'mos had for his ward when he articulated his intention to subdue the Hyx which was tearing up the Underground. She was worried enough the first time he suggested it and questioned his reasons. Collecting materials, the...

Etzos Outer Perimeter Market
The market was cold, dark, and forlorn. It was an excellent time to go scavenging for food. Nearly all the respectable market patrons were gone by this time of night. The darkness was deeper and the...
/gallery/image.php?album_id=143&image_id=4094 Repel the Stone Quarry Attack
Vhalar 105
The three guards stood nervously on the hilltop, their small fire providing scare heat in the chill of the evening. From their spot they could see the whole quarry, spread out beneath them. The sun slowly...
The dog tried to bark, yet its maws were not strong enough to fight the strength of the hessian fabric that wrapped around it. It growled, however, and shook its head in attempts of escaping the improvised restraints. The canine now tried to incorporate itself, but...
Ashan, the season of growth. As the darkness of Cylus finally faded, everything took a different rhythm in Etzos – and perhaps the rest of the world, too. People left their homes more often, they were joyful, even motivated to get things done. Farmers began...
