Etzos, ‘The City of Stones’ is a fortress against the encroachment of Immortal domination of Idalos. Founded on the backs of mortals driven to seek their own destiny independent of the Immortals, the city has carved itself out of the very rock of the land. Scourged by terrible wars of extermination, they've begun to grow again, and with an eye toward expansion, optimism is on the rise.

New Subforums
So, one of the things that has changed in the new site is that the new PSF is visible to everyone. This provides us an opportunity and so, this morning I've created some subforums in there - for completed / approved threads....

On the northside outer perimeter of Etzos, the meeting took place in a wide common room of a tavern known simply as Melinda’s . Though large enough to house several tables of varied shape, and large staircases that led to a couple...
Corin shut the door and strode into the early morning light. The chill of the cold cycle was coming on surprisingly quickly and she had dressed warmly with her mirror dust cloak thrown around her shoulders.
She was on a mission, copies of the three letters detailing...
It was raining torrents down on the Outer Perimeter, or as the dregs called it, the 'Oh Pee.' Woe wasn't a fan of the place. Reminded him of Lowtown back in Andaris, only less affluent. The stench of hides and various works turned Woe's stomach, telling him almost instantly of...
Arc 719, 10th trial of Vhalar
Corin strode up the road, Amber at her side. The Hyx was happy, finally, Corin having found a trader willing to part with a half a side of venison for a few coins. The Hyx had eaten well for once, not needing to resort to the dried and tasteless meat that...

Drivia surveyed the crowd imperiously, her chin tilted upwards. They were a ragged lot, from what she could see, milling about the job board and lazily chatting with eachother.
By early evening, Llyr made his way from the Academy tower and into the nearby Pillar of Society.
It wasn't simple, or easy, to be allowed through into the museum. This was likely due to it being evening time. He hadn't nearly as much trouble when he came...
On the street leading to the Academy of Etzos, Llyr waited. He leaned against a stonebrick building corner, and flipped through the pages of a book. Occasionally, he glanced up and looked side to side in survey of those students and professors and Etzori going about...
The Northside Orphanage wasn't the sort of place for those looking to rest. Within a single morning, Llyr found himself sent back and forth from task to task. By mid-trial, his muscles ached but in different ways than all those sparring matches from the later part of...
By the time the barrels of water were full, mealtime had already begun.
Llyr held onto the last bucket, though it was empty. His shoulders ached terribly from carrying the full of water buckets from the cistern in the back to the orphanage...
Having no frame of reference for what Etzos was before this disaster of the Plague hit it, Woe didn’t know what to think of the Medical stations that cordoned off sections of the Wards and Stations Ring of the city. The most well equipped portion of those facilities were fixed...

Continued from here
He heard a door opening. He was sure of it.
It was an old house, and it made a lot of odd noises. Bricks and stones creaked at night, along with the scant piping between the floors. Cold and heat made the materials...

Commercial Circle

She didn't know what roused her from sleep. A sound, most likely. Something unexpected and out of place, ringing through the Waking and into the Dreaming. Alerting her to danger. Only the echo of it was left when her eyes opened and her head...

2 Vhalar, Arc 719
Llyr left the Commercial Ring by the time the sun had warmed Etzos. He still adjusted his coat so it fit tightly over him, though. The walk wasn’t too far and he enjoyed the momentary solitude all the same. Over the trials of the last season,...
Gather ye round, my victims, and partake of an upcoming event of unparalleled savagery.
This is just the intro. Just a tease, if you will.
The sign-up will soon follow.
Woe sat at the tavern in the Comm Ward, one much like that he'd taken Llyr to, before the battles in Rhakros and the march south. This time he had a mind to take some strong tea, instead of alcohol, his previous attempts at drunkenness leading to sickness. He nursed the tea...
Noth could always appreciate it when his commandments had been obeyed, especially when they were given to those who weren’t technically under any obligation to follow them. It was not as if though the man before him had...
Just as Reed had said, it didn’t take long for a press-gang to notice him. He was pushed into conscription almost as soon as he was spotted a few days after leaving the committee. There was little argument to be had, even should Woe have been one to do so. He was able bodied, and...
2 Vhalar, Arc 719
Llyr woke that morning with plenty of things ahead of him. He performed his physical forms: stances with his daggers, kicks and chops and punches, swings and transitions between different motions - a blend of observed piece-mealed techniques from his time spent in the Mark’s...
It was nice to be back in Etzos, or at least not at the Landing as it were, he didn't think he'd ever grow fond of boats, or wagons for that matter. Though that was neither here nor there. He was just happy to be in a tavern that wasn't full of sailors pirates and other...
The tunnel Woe was travelling through dripped ceaselessly, the grime from up above slipping down through the cracks, to coat the stones of this grim edifice. Werthom walked beside Woe, keeping close. Although Woe had supposed she'd be familiar with the catacombs or underground...
Llyr had done what was asked of him. He carried the ridiculously heavy lockbox, along with the various packs of supplies, all the way from the Eastern Etzos Tower, to the Northern Medical Tower, on behalf of the bushy-browed guard. In a way, he couldn't help but feel like...

Alex walked towards the great gate, her skin prickling. The high stone walls and relative emptiness of the town added to the sense of unease. When she had left Etzos, the city had been a bustling metropolis...
One of the few citizens in town that knows that the Shrine to Lisirra never was about the Immortal of Pestilence, the proprietor of this establishment is not about to make waves about it being changed to now give homage to the one that was truly behind it all this time......
