The Gauthrel Plains reach from the coasts of western Idalos to the very edge of Ne'haer before meeting the forests surrounding Hiladrith. The Fields of Gauthrel can be a dangerous place, one that is home to the most deadliest of creatures. It holds many secrets in the history of the land and may offer rewards to those who choose to journey out into the wild plains. It is best not to wander out alone in these fields. Even caravans have been known to go missing.

Southern Gauthrel, dominated by clan Nordhoff, is a region known for its tropical climate along the coast, its bountiful floodplains along its rivers, and its vast desert to the south. Near the coastline, this area is seen as one of the richest places to live in all of Western...
Eastern Gauthrel, the region typically associated with Uthaldria, is the most densely populated area of Gauthrel. Known for its bountiful grasslands and farmlands, as well as a large array of less threatening (and more domestic) creatures and animals mixed in with the more...
Northern Gauthrel is a land populated by mountains, hills, grasslands and valleys, and it is here where the division between the Fields of Gauthrel and the Heart of the World begins. The area is known to be the least densely populated region in Gauthrel, with a large array of...
Western Gauthrel, often called the Westvale Bog, is a region of murky swamps, marsh and wetlands. It is a land renowned for fairly dense forestry as well, making it unique among the rest of Gauthrel, which is particularly dominated by grasslands, plains, savannah and hills....
Climate
The Fields of Gauthral experience cold harsh winters and hot humid summers. Days are far warmer than nights - these can be freezing. Rainfall is usually low and when it does rain, it comes in the form of thunderstorms that usually take place between Ashan to...

Cervani Shebal, She of Shimmering Eyes. This was to be his Trial of the Hunter, an ultimate test of resourcefulness and skill. Along with him there was supposedly one other, another man of blond hair and notable heroism. The Jeger did not yet know who they spoke of, but as...
He was settled down - a leather armchair, a thick glass of an unknown drink before him; mahogany in color, smelling of cream and spice. They sat in the small study of his home in Uthaldria, the two men sitting face to face with a sundial situated by the non-operating...
Vhalar 4 717, Midday
Location: The Fields of Gauthrel
Their walk totrial had started early with minimum rest as they had plenty of ground to cover, Kayleigh had been determined to keep herself strong for Uphrisca. She had to if she wanted to show she wasn't incapable anymore, even if her...
Fridgar walked along, only with a twist. He was due to meet Kayleigh after having a Jeger emblem tattooed to his new form. Finally, he'd done it with the aid of his beloved. He stood thirty seven feet tall, excluding his gargantuan horns. He really was a lurker like no other,...
That bitch... he cursed, visibly shaken, but not quite so traumatized as he was clearly enraged. His hands gripped the letter, his eyes stared into it. No matter how he tried to rationalize this, there was no easy way to escape the trap she'd laid. And for that, he was...
Alistair was fatigued, burnt out and overheated, sweating through his thin cotton shirt with droplets of sweat catching onto the hair of his brow. He had spent much of the trial developing the axe with Keanu Ki'Lozdara, his Shadowdancing master and dear friend. The mage had...
Having left Kayleigh behind, Fridgar continued the hunt in lurker form as he had been for the past few trials. Assuming this shape required an extreme amount of ether, and so, he'd had to give himself a few trials of recovering before setting off to find his chosen prey; another...
Finn O'Connor :: 80th Ymiden, 717
The people of Argos had been most generous in supplying such a spacious room to a simple messenger, and he still couldn’t quite believe how well he was being treated. There was a bell seated on the nightstand next to the four-poster he’d been allotted, he merely...
A low mist hung over grassy clearing, not quite thick enough to hide the clear contours of two dozen corpses. But no arrows or spears protruded from their forms, nor were there any tattered banners left to wave in the morning breeze. Any...
I'm still pretty good, all things considered. How about you? Fridgar asked his beloved as they walked. This was their third trial in the dance of the graces and Fridgar had yet to experience too many of the ill effects. But how was Alistair doing? The trial was harder on humans,...
Twenty trials. For an entire twenty trials, Fridgar and Alistair had been afflicted by the dance of the graces. He'd gotten through it a lot quicker than most other hounds, likely due to his immense strength and endurance. Alistair was a little slower, but Fridgar decided to wait...
A poor trial, he'd chosen. To trial was the trial that he would be promoted to dire by pack master Royand. Sadly, it was also the trial that he had declare that he and Alistair would be taking a leave of absence to pursue their unborn child, a different story in itself. With the...
Ren, oh yes, Ren. I think about him often. How absolutely disruptive he is - how I can hear his belligerent screaming as I operate on others, how he acts consciously and even subconsciously in a manner dedicated to my downfall. I think about the fact that his...
The White Silence. Brought on by the Obelisk of Ati'el, it is a phenomena that has begun to spread through the roots of the West, from birch trees to each and every blade of grass. Once, they say, the Heart of the World was not so surrounded by a...
KODA! The men declared as Fridgar and Alistair passed, slamming their fists hard against the Lotharro's iron framed door. KODA, COME OUT YOU FUCK! one man snarled, enraged. Another began to stomp against the door, though unable to break through the reinforced metal....
In the same spot as the trial before, the boy stood waiting. He was there before Fridgar, which was odd, considering the lothar had the power of teleportation. Perhaps he got there too early, and not in the same time as the trial before? Still, he stood with extreme patience, for not...
It was the seventeenth break. The heat of the Ymiden trial had started to quell, cool breezes flew from the north. Still, it was plenty light out and lots of time remained to return the Feron claws to Kayleigh's mother. Speaking of whom, the girl had spent the whole trial with him...
