Details: Dream Ever. That's what Ma'aikata's full name means, and it very much fits her personality. An impressionable woman, she was born and raised in Desnind, and she noticed the fact that many of the people made something or acquired something that they sold regularly to make money. With a desire to have a place where people could meet to do this, Maia- as she's often called- saved up her money until she could open this shop- The Ńẹ Sọ Anou Kanna. She ended up marrying woman named Halla, and the two run the shop together with their two adopted sons.

Details: Halla Vriman is not a native of Desnind, but she has come to love the place because she loves a woman who grew up there. Halla is a quiet woman- not timid, just private. She grew up in the snowy mountains of Viden, and attended the university there to learn some Linguistics. She came to Desnind hoping to learn Xanthea- and instead found love. Marrying Ma'aikata Kikọsilẹ-Vriman, the two opened a trader's hub together and adopted two sons. Halla has found peace in her life, and faith in Moseke, making regular trips to temples for worship. The seven-foot, seven-inch tall woman can be intimidating, but if you respect her, she'll respect you.

Details: Augustus Vriman is the oldest adopted son of Mai'akata and Halla Vriman. He was adopted not at birth, but as a child, yet he loves them dearly. He was born in Rynmere, originally from Warrick, and his parents died in a bandit attack when he was seven. He was adopted at the age of ten, actually, after his younger adopted brother, Kyle, was. So while he may be older, he's been with them for a shorter time. Still, Augustus loves Desnind and his new family. He helps out in the shop often, being a charming young man with good people skills. However, his real love is hunting in the forest. He's pretty skillful with a bow and is always improving. Don't be surprised to see him jog into the shop with a slayed Icraphern thrown over a shoulder.

Details: Kyle is a born again Lothar. His past life- Kyvalkar- had died in Desnind fighting a Aidọgba Eairo, trying to make it into a mount. Mai'akata and Halla Vriman, newly married, found his newborn form in the remains of his slain former self and carried him to safety. It didn't take much for them to want to adopt him, and he's been with them ever since. Shortly after, Kyle was given a brother in the form of Augustus. They're a pretty happy family. Kyle is the go to guy on appraisal in the shop. He has a better eye for value than either of his adopted mothers, so when a debate over an item's value gets too heated, Kyle is usually the tiebreaker. He also is fond of gambling, though he isn't terribly good, but he loves to play games of dice with people who come into the shop. When he isn't in the shop, he's usually chopping wood out back (after thanking Moseke for the tree's life), or practicing his axe work in general. Despite his past self having died this way, Kyle's goal in life is to tame an Aidọgba Eairo and make it his mount.

Details: Bo'kuno, or known affectionately as Bo by many of the children who come to read, is an older man with wrinkles around his eyes and mouth. Protective over the knowledge he has been entrusted to protect, this Sev'ryn is a kind man, but has no time for impulsive fools who threaten society's intelligence. He does his best to educate the youth, often times being convinced by younger patrons into a story time, where he will sit and share a fable. These stories hold bits of truth to them, and almost always have a moral lesson.

Nu'vasi

Details:Nu'vasi's story is quite interesting and tragic, as she did not grow up in the city of Desnind like most of her brethren. She and her parents have dedicated followers of Aiséirism, and spent much of their life traveling between their home and Athart, tracking Avriel slavers and freeing their captives in the night. They did this in secret - using their extensive knowledge of fieldcraft to lead these people through the thick wilderness and escape their kidnappers. During this time, Nu'vasi learned the common tongue in order to communicate with the scared slaves, telling them stories of Moseke to soothe them.

One night, however, they did not make a clean escape. Due to the peaceful teachings of Aiséirism, when the Avriel slavers eventually tracked them, her parents were unable to defend themselves. They died that night and the slaves were recaptured. Barely escaping, Nu'vasi returned home and has stopped such fervent worship. She still holds onto her beliefs, and is quick to share them, but finds her happiness providing for the city and its residents just as well.

Still having a weak spot for others, Nu'vasi decided to name The Stone Oven in the common tongue in hopes that travelers will feel more comfortable and as such, will still accept the occasional coin from outsiders if no other payment is possible and the buyer insists.

Details: Ra'noti or Ra as he is known to his son and close friends. He is a somewhat senile old man who has grown harsher and harsher with age. He is often tired and has begun to get quite fragile and frequently unwell. During these waves of sickness, his son will often take over with working the butchers until he recovers. He is always welcoming to his friends and loyal customers but wary of outsiders and may sometimes fail to serve them.

Details: An'ela is a young Sev'ryn man who spends much of his life out in the forest hunting. He is stubborn and that makes him bad at Negotiating and can often cause disputes over changes from the normal prices when he takes over when his father is sick. He is a good hunter and at least a fifth of the product traded within the Ifaworanhan Slosneppe is his. His father has prepared him as well as possible to take over when he eventually passes, however, An'ela would actually see it be sold or at least employ somebody but himself as his true calling is Hunting and the Ifaworanhan Slosneppe would just be in his way.

Details: Pẹkï grew up in the Makubwa Lori, and as a result, she quickly learned that she should know how to take care of herself. As a child, this Sev'ryn girl watched her older brother be attacked by a Dubäẹbọ after he had accidentally hit one of its young with a rock he'd thrown. Peki's brother was badly mauled, and left with permanent scars. He was lucky to survive. Because of this, Peki became determined to learn self defense at even her young age. She learned Judo, a form of martial arts that is based on being able to take down your opponent no matter your size. So a small girl like Peki could take down a full grown man. Now, she's quite the expert of it and often offers to teach others. Anyone who wishes to learn is free to approach her for lessons.

Details:

Hork'alin is the firstborn son of Lat'ora and Flek'ack, as well as the older brother to Qit'ria. Just as the males in his father's side of the family always have, he studied medicine. But for the first time in the family's history, Hork'alin studied more heavily into modern techniques and practices cultures abroad have used. His father allowed him to travel to expand his studies through much of his youth.

Hork'alin operates primarily independently, sticking with the old way of his father of visiting his patients at their homes, helping with preventative care as well as catching problems early. He makes it a point to get to know all of his patients quite well, and documents any treatments he gives, diagnoses, as well as theories of his own. He's quite sociable, but for some reason hasn't settled down to start a family. If his family is mentioned to him, he reacts politely but typically doesn't give any details.

Description: Tir'ras is a handsome man of average height and build. He has wavy brown hair that brushes past his shoulders, and blue eyes that show his emotions clearly. When around others, he is often smiling, but his smile does not always reach his eyes.

Tir'ras is a kind, soft spoken man who loves children and animals. He is quick to smile or laugh, and very slow to anger. But he has a fierce protective streak when it comes to his family, and he won't tolerate anyone who harms them.

He is a former slave who came to Desnind when he was fifteen, and a chance to escape from his master presented itself. He snuck aboard the first ship he found and it was heading for Desnind. Once here, it took him many arcs to learn who he was as a person, and to find his place in Desnind. But once he did, he embraced it with all his heart, and he has never looked back. His beloved wife, Tris'are was the one who helped him to find his place in Desnind and to truly begin to flourish for the first time. They met as teenagers, soon after he arrived in Desnind, and she took the wary, frightened boy under her wing until he found his feet once more. Tir'nas and Tris'are were best friends before they fell in love, and were eventually married in Ymiden of 706. They would love to have children, but neither are able to.

Tir'nas speaks fluent Common, Dehasin, and Xanthea and is conversational in Rakahi.

She's friendly, for a Syroa worshipper. However, although she proclaims devotion to the Immortal of transformation, it's unknown whether she's marked by her.

She rarely ever takes another form other than the one she currently exhibits, in order to maintain appearances.

Violetta has several 'sisters' who are actually her prostitutes that work in Heart-Shaped Nels, a brothel in Desnind. Whether they're of any true relation to her is unknown.
